CEMAS

CEMAS
The Centre of Excellence in
Mobile Applications and Services
(CEMAS) is part funded by the
European Regional Development
Fund (ERDF) and is established
at the University of South Wales.
We make apps, in fact, we make great apps with
some great companies and were all really proud
of this. As part of our offering, we have a business
support programme that can work with SMEs in
the Convergence area of Wales by helping them
develop, test and find a route to market for their
mobile application product. CEMAS is unique in that
we are able to minimise the initial risks to businesses
that are associated with developing a mobile
application through a fully funded app development
programme available to eligible SMEs in Wales.

The CEMAS team can help Welsh SMEs and

start-up companies develop their app idea
on a number of platforms including iOS,
Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone.
CEMAS have set up the Mobile Innovation
Network (MINe) which gives like-minded
companies across the UK as well as international
players within the mobile and telecommunications
sector opportunities to network, to foster new
ideas and find commercial opportunities through
mutual collaboration.

Supporting Welsh businesses to reduce

the initial risk associated with developing
new mobile applications and services.
