Q1 what are the 3 most important values that guide your thoughts & action?

1. Ambition
2. Dedication
3. Honesty
Q2 Have you ever adopted a non-traditional approach to manage a project/situation or to solve
a problem? Briefly describe the project/situation of the problem, the approach and the
outcome.
I would like to mention about my final year B.tech project Prediction of onset of flood using
artificial neural network. Being a civil engineer this was completely different project which I
have chosen. I was keen to do this project because it was challenging and innovative. The
challenge before us was to get past years data of rainfall from an organization. We required past
15 years data to predict flood but we could only get 3 years data. We countered this problem by
changing hidden nodes and activation function and constructed a model which can predict the
flood with 45.389 % of accuracy which is decent for the amount of data we had at that time.
Q3 Describe a situation when you had to accomplish an objective in an ambiguous situation.
What did you do to handle the situation? What was the outcome? What were your learnings?
Write 1-2 key specific learnings.
I was invested with the job to raise sponsorship when I was the head of marketing team of our
college Fete . It was a night event of 4hour. There were 4 main problems we were facing while
raising the sponsorship. Firstly, since it was a single day event organizations were reluctant to
sponsor the event. Secondly, the college budget was 2.5 lacks and money required to conduct the
event was 4 lack. Thirdly, the history of Fete 2013 was not impressive. Then I thought of
contacting organization which are newly established and are not famous. This was our principal
strategy. We have got sponsorship worth 13000 /- from Kautaliya institute and endeavor
coaching for cat. Still we were short of money. So we have introduced the idea of earning money
by setting up your stall. We charged fees varying from 5000 -10000 according to kind of stall
students want to setup. Apart from this we have collected 100 rs. From each student and 1000
from faculties. This all has met our budget. Director applauded and Accounting department
acknowledge us for our effort to make it best with respect to limited available budget.
Q4 Tell us 3 things you are proud of. Substantiate your answer with solid reasoning.
1. Adaptability- my father is an Indian air force employee and we are transferred from one
location to another in a certain period. Due to this I have studied in 5 different school in
5 different city. It happened many times that half yearly or final exams are only few days
ahead. Going to new place requires you to adapt to new socio-economic, political and
cultural environment. This is something which I had to do in very short time. Like, when
I moved from Delhi to Allahabad quarterly exams were only 3 days ahead. I topped in
class XIth and also scored 100/100 in Mathematics. I attribute this achievement to my
ability to adapt
2. Capacity to excel under pressure- When I was preparing for my MBA entrance exam in
final year there was lots of pressure to score good percentage, to get a good placement ,
to score a good percentile in cat also and also to perform my responsibility as Class
representative. I studied very hard scored 80+ percentage in studies which made me

eligible to be among top 25 students. Got campus placement in L&T constructionDream Company of civil engineers and as a CR I had also managed end to end operations
for the industrial tour to Jhansi in my final year. I have also secured decent percentile in
cat which made me eligible to get calls from 11 IIMs. Practiced hard for interview and
converted 9 of my 11 IIMs calls apart from IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur.
Q5. Mention "one" personal improvement area that you have worked upon in the last one
year. Why do you feel the above area was an improvement area for you? How did you
identify the improvement area? What did you do to improve yourself in this area? Do you
think you have achieved your objective? What makes you think so?
I have worked on my communication skill in last the one year. If we can effectively
communicate, then people understood us much better, and whatever information we are
trying to tell them will get across without being misunderstood. In business this prevents
mistakes from being made by people who thought you said something else. It also helps in
convincing others to agree with us in a persuasive setting. Effective communication gives
self-esteem and confidence. If we can effectively communicate then we get along better with
neighbors in our town or city, in our country and in the world. Most wars are caused by
people not communicating effectively and not being able to negotiate. I realize this when I
was preparing for cat. Yes I think to some extent I have achieved my objective. During
interviews I was not feeling difficulty in communicating my thought. I think getting
converted 9 of 11 iim calls is an evidence of this.
Q3. Personal goals of life
I want to become the CEO of a top notch company. I may be sound too verbose or maybe
stupid at this point of time. But this is what I dream of becoming. I have made my career
plan regarding it. In IIM L I will attend the business seminars and networking event
wherever I can. As soon as I will get placement from college I will try to be company booster,
a team player. I will take advantage of any and every opportunity that company offers. I will
stay in touch with high level executives and try to be on friendly terms with them. I will
request one of them to become my mentor. From here on I will try to be a member of board
of directors. This gives me valuable experience of interacting and becoming a part of
companys policy.
