All Students will:

• Use ICT to save and find information
• Use ICT to develop, organise and present their work
• Choose what ICT tools to use in order to solve problems and
find things out
• Describe their use of ICT and how it is used outside the
Academy.
• Use different software applications to process, refine and present
their work
• Complete a research task
• Demonstrate good practice in saving their work.

Most • Present information in different forms showing awareness of
the audience and the need for quality
• Work with files and folders to organise and retrieve
information
• Show care when collecting information
• Add, amend and combine different information from different
sources
• Producing reports, articles, posters, presentations where students
have to combine information from different sources
• Discussing the benefits/drawback of ICT from their personal
experience and the wider impact on groups within society.
• Vary the proposed audience for tasks, e.g. letters to a parent, a
newspaper article to the local community, a flyer for students and
emphasise that their ICT work has to relate to the intended
audience

Some • Use ICT to structure, refine and present information in a
different forms and styles for different purposes and
audiences
• Name folders and files, organizing them logically and
appropriately
• Use ICT in a safe and effective manner
• Assess the quality of their ICT work and reflect critically in
order to make improvements
• Issue students with tasks/activities where they need to use a
variety of software applications to prepare a solution e.g.,
spreadsheets for tables and graphs and integrate this into a
PowerPoint or word document for formatting
• Ask for evaluation (use peer and self) in order to ensure students
think of their work and whether it is fit for purpose
• Use specific evaluation criteria such as efficiency, ease of use,
presentation etc
