ATHLETICS AT AIS

Within a week AIS will be running 4 different sports at

our school simultaneously. Our JV/V basketball teams are
almost midway through their season with U14 competition
starting March 1. As stated below the U14/JV/V Track
and Field team has their KSAA events happening over the
next two weekends. Badminton try outs are happening
prior to Liberation and finally our inaugural season of U12
soccer will also start before Liberation.
A huge thank you to all of the teachers who volunteered to
help out at our upcoming Track Meets!!! AIS is the school
sending the highest number of volunteers to these events.
I want to wish the Track and Field Coaches, Heidi Pierce,
Adam Pierce, David Gowryluk and Tom Nedimyer luck in
the meets and thank them for their long hours of
commitment and dedication.
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 18TH at 2:10 in the Auditorium
we will be hosting our Varsity Basketball Pep Rally. This is
definitely a new concept for our students but something
many of you will have experienced during your own High
School careers. PLEASE encourage the students to
participate and cheer. This is their chance to be loud and
get out of their chairs and dance without being told to be
quiet and sit down.
