Parishad Auditorium organized at Rangat on
15th Nov.2014 near about
400 people participated.
On this occasion various
cultural events and competitions was organized.
Birsa Munda was being
remembered for his great
contribution for the Indian struggle for independence against British. In this function Mr.

the occasion a simple

Mannarghat in a befitting
manner. Prabhat Pherry
has been organized in the
morning and after it Mr
Mohd Hanifa, Principal
and others paid rich tributes to Pt. Jzawahar Lal
Nehru by garlanding his
portrait. In his address,
the Principal enlightened
the students about the life
and thoughts of Chacha
Nehru. A beautiful cultural programme was presented by the students on
the occassion. A 'Books
Exhibition, Volleyball
match and distribution of
sweets were also organised on this occasion.

PORT BLAIR, NOV 16/-/Islanders, who are financially not


well of f, and have been referred by the G B Pant Hospital,
Port Blair to hospitals in mainland for medical treatment
may seek financial assistance from LGs Relief Fund. Financial assistance is sanctioned by the Lt Governor depending
on the recommendations of Directorate of Health Services,
subject to a limit of Rs 1 lakh per case or actual expenditure whichever is less. It is pertinent to mention here that
resources (funds) under the LGs Relief Fund are limited
and, hence there is a limit to which financial assistance can
be provided. However, it shall be the endeavour to see that
help and assistance is provided to as many people as possible. Applicants seeking financial assistance from the LGs
Relief Fund may submit their applications, directly to the
office of Secretary to Lt Gover nor, Raj Niwas. The application will then be referred to the Directorate of Health
Services for his recommendations. Separately, verification
on the financial status of the applicant will also be obtained
from the Deputy Commissioner of the District, says a communication from Raj Niwas today.

LG condoles death
PORT BLAIR, NOV 16/-/
Honble Lt Governor has expressed his deep shock on
the passing away of Mrs.
Rehana Bibi, aged 33 yrs,
W/o Mr. Mohd. Raffi, Editor,
Peoples View at G B Pant
Hospital in the morning today. He has also expressed
his condolence to the members of the bereaved family.

Mr. Mohammed R affi, Editor, P eoples View and
former State President, Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha
(BJYM), has passed
away following a prolonged illness.
She
breathed her last at GB
Pant Hospital here this
morning. Late Rehana
Bibi was suffering from
kidney ailment and the
end came when she suffered
a
brain
hemor rhage today. She
was 33. She is survived
by her husband, Mr.
Mohd. Raffi and an 11year old son, Master
Wasim Imran. A large
number of relatives,

friends, political leaders
cutting across party lines, party workers and sympathizers joined the funeral procession from Mr. Raffis
Had do residence to Delanipur graveyard (opposite
AIR Station) where the body of Late Rehana was laid
to rest. Meanwhile, the BJP State President, Mr. Vishal
Jolly, other party leaders and workers have dee ply
mourned the sad untimely demise of Mrs Rehana Bibi.
The f ormer National President, BJYM, Mr. Amit
Thakkar, State Secretary BJP & State Prabhari BJYM,
Mr. K. Par masivam and State President (i/c), BJYM,
Mr. Abdul Kalam have also condoled the untimely demise of Mrs. Rehana Bibi.
