conformance with the stringent AS91XX clauses (including ISO 9001) and applicable
customer, regulatory and statutory QMS requirements
The course is designed not only to help people perform capable and value-adding audits,
but also to develop their wider understanding of the design and implementation of modern
(process-based) aerospace/defence quality management systems. In particular it will help them
get to grips with those issues of ever-increasing importance such as customer satisfaction,
effectiveness & continual improvement of processes, supplier review and the essential role of top
management. Particular emphasis is placed on sector-specific topics that include Traceability,
FAIRs, Project Management (APQP), KCs and Risk Management. It will help delegates
understand how these critical issues can be embedded into the quality management system of an
organisation.
Delegates who complete the course and pass the examination (70% pass mark) will also satisfy
the formal training requirements of the IRCA scheme for registration as ISO 9001 Lead
Auditors or Principal Auditors.
The 5-day course is highly interactive and uses quizzes, individual/group exercises, role play,
audit scenarios and a realistic Case Study. It has been certified against the new IRCA 2245:2013
rules and is based on the principles and practices of accelerated learning.
Course entry requirements
Before starting this course, delegates are expected to have the following prior knowledge
of the following quality management principles and concepts:
The Model of a Process Based Quality Management System, the structure and
content of AS9100
In addition, students must have a working knowledge of the AS9100 standard requirements,
which may be gained by attending a TEC Transitional Foundation Training course or equivalent.

1. Check sheet
2. Control chart
Control charts, also known as Shewhart charts
(after Walter A. Shewhart) or process-behavior
charts, in statistical process control are tools used
to determine if a manufacturing or business
process is in a state of statistical control.
If analysis of the control chart indicates that the
process is currently under control (i.e., is stable,
with variation only coming from sources common
to the process), then no corrections or changes to
process control parameters are needed or desired.
3. Pareto chart
5.Ishikawa diagram
Ishikawa diagrams (also called fishbone diagrams,
herringbone diagrams, cause-and-effect diagrams, or
Fishikawa) are causal diagrams created by Kaoru
Ishikawa (1968) that show the causes of a specific event.
[1][2] Common uses of the Ishikawa diagram are product
design and quality defect prevention, to identify potential
factors causing an overall effect. Each cause or reason for
imperfection is a source of variation. Causes are usually
grouped into major categories to identify these sources of
variation. The categories typically include
People: Anyone involved with the process
Methods: How the process is performed and the
specific requirements for doing it, such as policies,
procedures, rules, regulations and laws
Machines: Any equipment, computers, tools, etc.
required to accomplish the job
Materials: Raw materials, parts, pens, paper, etc.
used to produce the final product
Measurements: Data generated from the process
that are used to evaluate its quality
Environment: The conditions, such as location,
time, temperature, and culture in which the process
operates
6. Histogram method
