Greetings DBI Students,

Welcome to Course 1 Intensive Divine Healing Technician Training! Within this document
you will find your study guide questions for this course, instructions for your essay assignment
and for turning in your completed work. Please read the instructions carefully. All assignments
are open-book, open-video, so we recommend that you fill out the entire study guide. Purchase
a journal and write your thoughts and impressions as you are impacted and receive revelation
from the teachings. Not only will you appreciate having this journal to look back in, but it will
make it much easier to write the essays later.
About the Essay Assignment
The ESSAY ASSIGNMENT is due upon completion of this course. It is to be turned in with your study
questions via email to coursework@jglm.org. Please make notes on the main points that you
learn as you study this course. Some standard guidelines have been given in this document on
the format of a standard essay. You will be graded on content, not on your ability to create a
proper essay, although we would like you to adhere to the proposed guidelines as much as
possible.

We have listed 3 essay questions at the end of this document. The first essay is MANDATORY,
and then you can choose between the two remaining questions for your final essay. Each of the
2 essays is to be at least 1 page (double spaced) and no longer than 5 pages. You are free to
review the course material as you put your thoughts together to write. It is helpful to plan your
paper before you start.

1. Begin by writing down the main points of what you would like to say, using the
Scriptures along the way, then write your paper.
2. After you are finished, check each essay to make sure you answered all the parts of each
question.
3. Go through it a final time, checking grammar and spelling. It is often helpful to have a
friend or spouse read it to catch anything you missed.

We do not grade like a traditional college. You will not be graded on your essay structure,
length or spelling (although we do expect you to strive for good grammar and spelling) but you
will be graded on whether or not you really put effort into answering the questions fully,
putting thought and prayer into what you write.

About the Course Study Guide Questions

The best way to submit the answers to the COURSE STUDY QUESTIONS is by email. Download and
save the Answer Sheet (link located on the Course 1 Session 1 page). Fill in the blanks on your
computer, SAVE and email as an attachment. (DONT FORGET TO SAVE IT!) If you wish, you can
print the answer sheet, fill it out by hand, scan and email to coursework@jglm.org
Grading
Our grading structure is as follows:
E (Exemplary)
S (Satisfactory)
U (Unsatisfactory must be redone)

To receive an E on your essays you must clearly answer each part of the questions. To receive
an E on your study questions you must have each answer correct.

Essay Guidelines
Although the topic of your essay serves as the title, the title section of your essay contains
several additional elements. You have two options for the title section:
1. Display the title at the top of the first page.
2. Use a separate title page for the title section of your essay.
When youre not using a title page, generally your name, the course name, professor or
teachers name and the due date are placed at the upper left hand corner of the first page.
Below that should be your title centered. Your essay begins after skipping one line below the
title.

When using a separate title page, the title is the first

information on the page and horizontally centered at

about the top third of the page. Leave the center of your

page empty. Other title elements may be double or

single-spaced and may be either centered or left aligned

Tips for Formatting Essay Text

1. Use the standard margins of 1" on the top and

bottom margins and 1.25" on the left and right
margins.
2. Double spaced text is standard in essay writing
and provides room for your editor or teacher to circle or underline errors or add arrows
connecting their comments to your text.
3. Unless otherwise specified, essay text is left aligned. In cases where your essay is hand
written instead of typed, its handy to use a straight edge to keep vertical alignments
at a 90-degree angle.
4. Use a standard font such as Times New Roman size 12.
5. Print your essay on only one side of paper.
6. Use standard white paper (8.5" X 11).
7. Paragraphs are identified by an indentation of five spaces (a tab), do not make extra
spaces between paragraphs.

Written Questions
In this section, you will write two essays. First, write an essay on the mandatory question,
paying careful attention to answer each part. For the second question, choose from A or B
below. As stated in the instructions, answers should be at least 1 but no more than 5 pages,
double spaced. Do not feel like you have to say things exactly as they were taught in the class.
We want to hear about what impacted you and your thought process in analyzing these topics.

Mandatory: Choose a truth from this course that impacted your life.

4. How it impacted your life and the lives of others and most importantly,
5. How you will put this truth into ACTION in your life?

at least 3 verses in your discussion.

B. Discuss the concepts of the believers authority and dominion. You should discuss mans
original position, his situation after the fall, and then our current standing after Jesus died
and rose. Include situations in which we do and do not have authority and dominion.

Life Application
At DBI, we emphasize that as followers of Jesus, we are to be doers of the Word. The Life
Applications are NOT required, but are highly recommended as you not only hear the Word in
the teachings but follow up with action. We would enjoy hearing about your experiences and
growth as you complete the Life Application sections. Please send all correspondence related to
testimonies and results from your Life Applications and DBI Studies to: testimonies@jglm.org.

Scripture Memorization
Memorize Mark 16:15-20 and Matthew 28:18-20. Simply reading these verses every day when you
complete your declarations/confessions will give you a great start in memorizing these passages.

Apply to Become a Certified Divine Healing Technician (DHT)

If you arent already a Certified DHT, this is a great time to begin the process. Since the course
you just completed is a prerequisite for becoming a DHT, you are already on your way!

2. Under JGLM, go to, How to become a Certified DHT. Reading this section should
answer any questions you have about the process.
3. Submit your DHT application, either from the IDHT manual you received or submit
online at www.jglm.org > JGLM > Applications/Forms > DHT Forms > DHT Application

Minister to others!
Now that you have completed Course 1, you are ready to begin sharing the gospel, laying hands
on the sick and casting out devils. The first few times may feel a little strange, but once you
start sharing the love of Jesus with those you come in contact with, it gets easier and easier.
If you would like to listen to a little more teaching on how to pray for others, the final session in
each standard DHT training shows you how. Go to www.jglmmedia.org > Complete Teachings >
DHT. Find the Boulder Colorado DHT Session 16 (Healing Service), or the Healing Service from
some other listed DHT.
We encourage you to pray for people as situations present themselves. Almost everyone knows
of people at work, relatives or friends that are battling some sickness, disability, depression or
that simply are not saved. Pick 5 people and lay hands on them, commanding the ailment to GO
in Jesus name. Be Bold! Record all the details in your journal.
Note: If possible, work on these Life Application tasks while you complete Course 2. As you do
these things you will not only change your life, stepping out and doing the things of God, but
you will also create good habits, seeing and treating people the way Jesus does.
