Book & Bake Sale


Today! Sunday, March 1st
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.Parish Hall
The Youth Group is having their "Used
Book Sale" in the Hall. This fundraiser is
to raise money for the youth retreat in
April. They will also be selling baked
goods. Stop by and browse the books, and
pick up some goodies while you are there.

We wish to thank Andy Zablocki for his donation of lumber to the Mens Club.
Also, a hearty pat on the back for a job well done to Bob
Horn and Jerry LaDuke for their hard work installing the
beautiful new door on our chapel.

Soup & Scripture


Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Parish Hall
We continue our 5-week video series from Fr. Barrons
Catholicism series, ending the Wednesday before Holy
Week, March 25th. We begin serving soup at 6:00 p.m.,
and the series will be from 6:30 thru 8:00 p.m.

SAN DIEGO

Spaghetti Dinner
Saturday, March 7th

Join us after Mass next Saturday for a Spaghetti Dinner hosted by the 6th grade class.
Tickets in advance: $10/adult, $5/child under
11. Tickets at the door: $11/adults, $6/child
under 11. Thank you for your support. All proceeds go towards 6th grade camp.

Parish Assembly
Mark your calendars for an all-parish assembly in the
parish hall on Sunday, April 26th, at 10:30 a.m. More
details to follow in weeks to come.

A memorial Mass for Tom Vandeveld will be held on

Annual Catholic Appeal

Suggestion Box

Thank you to all who have turned in pledges to the Annual Catholic Appeal. If you have not turned in your
pledge its not too late! A pledge envelope was mailed to
your home. If you did not receive one you may pick one
up at the back of the church.

New comment forms have been placed near our Suggestion Box at the back of the church. We encourage you to
submit comments, questions and suggestions. Your
feedback is welcomed by the Pastoral Council.

Our assessment this year is $27,000. If we exceed our


goal, excess funds will be returned to St. Columba to be
used for much need improvements. Please make your
check payable to: Diocese of San Diego.

Retirement of Msgr. Mullarkey


After celebrating 50 years in the priesthood last year and
reaching the age of 75 this April, Msgr. Patrick Mullarkey has announced his retirement as pastor of St. Catherine Labour Church effective June 30, 2015.

Diego, CA 92111.

Our 9:30 choir, Spiritus, has created a CD, which is


available for $20 at the rectory or directly from the
choir. ALL proceeds will be donated to the church and
school.

Pilgrimage Tour
May 1224, 2015
Join Fr. Mario Elias on a Catholic pilgrimage tour to

and the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Krakow. Fr. Mario
will celebrate daily Mass and provide spiritual guidance.

If you would like a lily plant placed at the Altar
for Easter in memory of or in honor of a family
