Introduccin

Introduction

Este libro resume el trabajo de una accin de gobierno

centrada en el fortalecimiento local del Partido de Almirante
Brown, provincia de Buenos Aires, Repblica Argentina.
Quienes deseen pasar por estas pginas podrn recorrer su
historia y la cronologa de hechos que le dieron identidad.
Eso sucedi 143 aos atrs.
En ese camino atravesado por el tiempo, anclamos en el
2007 con Daro Giustozzi y un proyecto de Gobierno Municipal decidido a recuperar y restaurar dcadas de postergacin y abandono. Un nuevo contrato social sostenido en el
compromiso y trabajo de una comunidad con necesidades
de crecer y avanzar.
Las pginas desandan la puesta en ejecucin de diversas
acciones vinculadas a la educacin salud, economa, cultura,
produccin, empleo, medio ambiente, motores del crecimiento sostenido del distrito.
Almirante Brown crece da a da. Este gobierno supo interpretar las necesidades de los vecinos y llevarle respuestas
concretas en obras que son una realidad insoslayable y que
marcan un antes y un despus en la historia local.
Hoy la familia de Almirante Brown vuelve a escribir un nuevo
captulo en sus vidas.
Es eso sin duda, el mayor argumento para que estas lneas
sean escritas y tambin ledas.

This book summarizes the work of a government action focused

on locally strengthening the District of Almirante Brown, Buenos
Aires province, Argentina.
Guests on these pages will explore its history and the chronology
of events that gave it identity.
That was 143 years ago.
In this path traversed by the time, we anchored in 2007 with Dario
Giustozzi and a Municipal Government project decided to recover
and restore decades of neglect and abandonment. A new social
contract sustained commitment and work in a community with
needs of growth and advance.
The pages retrace the implementation of various activities related
to health, education, economy, culture, production, employment,
environment, which boost the sustained growth of the district.
Almirante Brown grows daily. This government was able to interpret the needs of neighbors and bring concrete answers in works,
that are an unavoidable reality and mark a before and after in the
local history.
Today the family of Almirante Brown writes again a new chapter in
their lives.
And that is definitely the biggest argument for these lines to be
written and read.

Geographical Features

El Partido de Almirante Brown tiene una

extensin de 12.933 hectreas, es decir
129,33 Km2, de los cuales el 65 %
corresponde a la zona urbana y el resto
corresponde al rea rural / industrial.
Est constituido por tierras denominadas llanos, carentes de formaciones
elevadas notorias. Pertenece al rea de
la pampa hmeda. Sus tierras son aptas para el cultivo y la cra de ganado,
as tambin como para el asentamiento
de seres humanos.
El suelo es rico en minerales y las napas se encuentran a poca distancia de
la superficie, lo que facilita la extraccin
de agua. Est surcado por los arroyos
Del Rey, San Francisco, Las Piedras y
Las Perdices.

The District of Almirante Brown is extended

for 12.933 hectares, meaning 129,33
Km2, 65 % of which corresponds to urban
region and the rest to rural or industrial
region.
It is constituted by lands called llanos
(planefields), without notorious altitude
formations. It belongs to the moist Pampa. These lands are suitable for culture
and stock breeding as well as for human
settlement.
The soil is rich in minerals and the NAPAS
are located fairly near the Surface, which
makes easier the extraction of potable water. It is scored by the Brooks Del Rey, San
Francisco, Las Piedras y Las Perdices.

of the district

Almirante Brown es un municipio del

Conurbano Sur Bonaerense que se fue
forjando con el flujo poblacional de la
ciudad de Buenos Aires, las inmigraciones internas y, fundamentalmente,
las externas. Actualmente tiene una
poblacin de 552.000 habitantes.
Al distrito llegaron grandes cantidades de italianos y vascos, entre otros
extranjeros, que aportaron sus costumbres y su cultura durante la segunda
mitad del siglo XIX, poblando la tierra y
trabajando en ella.
Antes de su llegada, un grupo de
vecinos haba decidido solicitar a la
provincia la formacin del Municipio
como entidad administrativa y, desde el
ao 1873, se inicia oficialmente con una
identidad local.

Almirante Brown is a city in the southern

suburbs of Buenos Aires that was forged
with the plow population of the city of Buenos Aires, internal migrations and mainly,
externals.
The district came large numbers of Italians
and Basques, including foreigners, who
brought their customs and culture during
the second half of de nineteenth century,
populating the land and working on it.
Before his arrival, a group of neighbors had
decided to request the formation of the
Municipality province as an administrative
entity and, since 18743, officially stars with
a local identity.
Esteban Adrogu, chief sponsor of the
foundation and development of Almirante
Brown, along with other promoters families
made the decision that the current School
No. I was the first public building to be
finish. This thought made a political and

Adrogu, su pueblo cabecera, fue planteado con un concepto urbanista de
avanzada para la poca. Se incorporaron las diagonales, plazas, boulevares,
cortando con el hasta entonces
tradicional modelo espaol. Es importante destacar que este diseo sirvi
como antecedente para la fundacin de
la ciudad de La Plata, capital provincial.

marca nuestra identidad y sentido de

de reconocida proyeccin nacional
como internacional, orgullo de la comunidad browniana.

With great consensus among the neighbors, Almirante Brown has been recognized as The City of Arts and Ideas (Municipal Decree 1089/12). This identity is found
on the fact that many Artistic and Cultural
personalities with national and international
projection belong to this municipality

Podemos citar que Adrogu fue la

ciudad ms querida del eximio escritor Jorge Luis Borges, quien vivi su
infancia y juventud, en esta ciudad, a
la que le dedic un libro de poemas,
Adrogu en 1977.
Exponentes destacados de las letras
argentinas tales como Ricardo piglia,
Leopoldo Marechal, Macedonio Fernndez, as como el historiador Jos
Luis Romero forman parte del patrimonio cultural de Almirante Brown.
Asimismo hay una fuerte identidad
de Almirante Brown con el tango, ya
que msicos como Alfredo de Angelis
director de orquesta, Antonio Agri y
Alejandro Barletta, entre otros, dejaron
su huella en esta ciudad.
Es destacable el paso del artista plstico Raul Soldi, quien en la localidad
de Glew, produjo sus primeras pinturas
como los frescos en la Capilla Santa
Ana que se encuentran reproducidos
en el Vaticano.

We can quote that Adrogue was the most

loved city of the extraordinary Argentian
writer Jorge Luis Borges, who lived his
childhood and youth there. And to which
he dedicated a poem book called Adrogu in 1977.
Outstanding exponents of Argentinian
literature as Ricardo Piglia, Leopoldo Marechal, Macedonio Fernndez, as also the
historian Jos Luis Romero, are part of the
cultural heritage of Almirante Brown
Likewise there is a strong identity of Almirante Brown with the Tango, as musicians
like Alfredo de Angelis, orchestra director,
Antonio Agri and Alejandro Barletta, among
others, left their print on this city.
It is remarkable the passing of the Plastic
Artist Raul Soldi, who produced in Glew.
his first paintings, for example the ones in
the local Santa Ana chapel, that had been
reproduced at the Vatican.

En el Municipio de Almirante Brown la

preponderante generando el 24,4% del
producto total del partido. Existen actualmente ms de 600 establecimientos industriales en funcionamiento.
De este total, 254 se encuentran
ubicados en el Sector Industrial Planificado de Almirante Brown (SIPAB) y el
resto, fuera del mismo. En cuanto a la

alrededor de 8.000 establecimientos
habilitados en los distintos centros comerciales a lo largo de todo el distrito,

product. At present there exist over 600

El objetivo es interrelacionar las oportunidades de trabajo originadas en el

sector privado de la economa local con
las personas desocupadas o aquellas
que buscan mejorar su situacin laboral,
para que todos los vecinos del municipio
cuenten con diferentes instrumentos para
insertarse en el mundo laboral.
Se trata de una base de datos que est a
disposicin de las empresas y comercios
del distrito para que puedan solucionar su personal segn las condiciones
requeridas. Es decir, un portal digital que
contiene la oferta y la demanda local de
empleo, funcionando como nexo entre la
oficina de empleo Municipal y los vecinos que quieren dejar su CV, facilitando
la bsqueda de Recursos Humanos por
medio de filtros especficos designados
en el sistema. La promocin del trabajo
es uno de los objetivos de Daro Giustozzi. En ste marco, la intencin es
fomentar a los comercios e industrias
locales a incorporar personal de la Bolsa
de Trabajo Municipal.

The aim is to interrelate job opportunities

originated at the private sector of the local
economy, with unemployed people or with
the ones looking to emprove their labor
situation, so all the residents of the district
have different instruments to insert themselves into the working world.
To this, we created a data base, that is
at disposal of companies and shops of
the district, so them can solve their staff,
according to the required conditions. That
is to say, a website that contains the offer
and demand of local employment, working
as a nexus between the Municipal Employment Office and the residents of the District
whiling to leave us their CV, making easier
the Human Resources research, by the
use of specific filters. The work promotion is one of the main objectives for Dario
Giustozzi.
In this context, the intention is to promote the
local business and industries to incorporate
personnel from the Municipal Work Board.

The main function of this Secretariat is to

stimulate and maximize the resources of
the area to promote economic development. Establishing, on the framework of
local development, the role of the Municipal State as a link between public and
private actors.
The Department of Production and Employment is part of the Mixed Commission
which administers the Planned Industrial
Sector of Almirante Brown. It also works
with the Locals Chambers of Trade and
Industries with the aim of enhancing the
growth of Open Pit Shopping Centers.
It also has under its orbit the attention of
the small producers of the rural sector, and
employment promotion through the articulation between local supply and demand.

Se celebr del 10 al 16 de mayo de

2014 la Semana Cultural de India en
Almirante Brown, con la presencia del
intendente municipal Daniel Bolettieri, el
embajador de la India en nuestro pas,
Amarendra Kathua y el secretario de
Educacin, Cultura y Derechos Humanos, Jorge Herrero Pons entre otras
autoridades.
Ms de 9 mil personas pudieron recorrer
la muestra fotogrfica, disfrutar de los
espectculos de danza y msica hind,
participar de los seminarios de percusin,
teatro, espiritualidad, yoga, negocios,
cocina y turismo que brind la singular
cartelera, y sumarse a una propuesta
cinematogrfica de lujo, que acerc lo
mejor de bollybood.
Bolettieri, luego de expresar su gratitud a

Brown was held from May 10th to 16th
of the current year, with the presence of
the Municipal Mayor Daniel Bolettieri, the
Ambassador of India in our country, Amarendra Kathua, and the Clerk of Education,
Culture and Human Rights, Jorge Herrero
Pons among other authorities.
Over 9000 people were able to see the
photographic exhibition, enjoy the Indian
dance and music, participate in percussion, theater, spirituality, yoga, business,
kitchen and tourism seminars, given by the
unique billboard, and join a deluxe film proposal that brought the best of Bollybood.
Bolettieri, after expressing his gratitude to
the diplomatic authorities, ruled in favor of
watching closely the international settings
developments, maintaining an active and
intelligent policy that promote and facilitate cooperation and exchange in different
