Environmental Protection
All waste will be removed from site and returned to licensed disposal site for
o disposal in compliance with current legislative demands.
No waste products will be allowed to enter any watercourse (including drains).

7. Briefing Arrangements
The contents of the global and task specific method statements will be briefed to all
engineers by Supervisor to ensure understanding and compliance with the
methodologies.
The Supervisor will brief the team at site on the nature and duration of the task and
equipment to be used.
Should the content of any relevant generic risk assessments not cover any site
specific hazards, a site specific risk assessment shall be completed by the
Supervisor and briefed to all team members before the commencement of works.
After works are complete, any such site specific risk assessments must be handed to
the HSQE Manager for retention and to allow any relevant generic risk assessments
to be updated if required.

All equipment will be taken to the work site by hand when the work site is clear or
protection arrangements are in place and have been confirmed.
All equipment will be checked prior to use to ensure that it is in safe working order.
(As per Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations. HSE 1998)

Internal steel toe cap / mid-sole boots with ankle support (BS EN 345)
Hard hat (BS EN 397)

Manual Handling Operations

Manual handling operations undertaken by an individual will be restricted to a maximum


of 25kgs. Loads in excess of this will be broken down into smaller loads, where
reasonably practicable. Where this is not possible, team lifting techniques will be
undertaken. Mechanical lifting aids to be used when ever possible.

Methodology

1) Engineers to attend site and report to site contact.


2) Obtain permits to work.
3) Change into personal protective equipment.
4) Move all tools and equipment to location of works.
5) Mechanically and electrically isolate pumps and remove from system.
6) Strip down and replace seals.
7) Rebuild pumps and install into system.
8) Reinstate and test for correct operation.
9) Inspect fan unti and report remedials
10)In the event of an emergency refer to 13. Accident / Emergency arrangements
11) Clear all rubbish from site and leave in tidy condition.
12)Sign off permits to work.
13)Inform site contact that we are leaving site.

12.Completion Criteria & Hand-back Arrangements.

On completion of the task, operatives will ensure that all equipment is


removed from the worksite, including barriers, signage, tools, materials
and any waste generated from the task.
The Team Leader / Supervisor will ensure that the worksite is in a safe
condition to hand back to the Client.
