Description
The existing DMM model (RUT-00412-DA) has reached his end-of-life and for that
reason we need to replace it with its successor RUT-02590-DA.
This technical bulletin describes how to replace the existing DMM module with the new
DMM. The new DMM needs 12V DC instead of 24V DC, so a power converter is
required (included in the replacement kit).
Steps to be executed:
Initial steps
1. Retrieve the vdrparams.ini / vdr-cfg.txt and the vidchan1(2,3,4).ini files for the
subject vessel in order to replace when the DMM has been changed.
2. When you dont have the files in hand please be sure to ask them before your
attendance from our service department.
3. Shut off the AC breaker on board.
4. Shut off the Battery breaker inside the DPU.
2. Place the 2 supplied white ferrules (RUT-00394) at the end of the wires (black
and yellow) and insert them into the connector of the power converter as shown
below. Black to V & yellow to +V.

Finalize installation
1. After your hardware installation is finished; first switch on the battery breaker then
switch on the AC breaker on the bridge.
2. Connect via remote desktop and check if the system is performing well (No errors).
3. Stop the rec app.
4. Connect as administrator
5. Map via E: drive to replace the vdrparams.ini / vdr-cfg.txt files on the C:/WINDOWS
drive
6. Put the vidchan1(,2,3,4).ini files in the vdr apps folder on the C: drive
7. Update the Product Key and perform a commit.
8. After the commit, the system will reboot and run in the MyUser account.
9. Check if all the NMEA/Video and Audio has been recorded in a correct way.
10. Always send the error log with the new vdrparams.ini / vdr-cfg.txt and the correct
vidchan1 (2.3.4).ini file(s), to Netwave Service Department to comply with APT
regulations.
Note: Do not execute VDR Config Suite in any of the steps above
11. The Windows License key sticker should be placed on the outside of the G2 system (if
not done yet) as shown below.
