Panel
Welcoming words and speeches by the Chairman of The Committee:
En. Renganathan AL Chinnathamby:
1. The Chairman thanked for the co-operation and full attendance of the English
Language Teachers
2. The chairman addressed the possibilities to emphasize and stresses on
PKSR and UPSR analysis.
3. The chairman also stressed on the English Language Panel Program such as
English Week.

Speeches by the Advisor of the English Language Panel.

Welcoming words and speeches by the Advisor of The Committee:
En. Mohd Yusri Bin Mohamad Yusof;
1. The advisor hoped the committee members will give their best in effort and
hard work for the sake of the school and pupils.

Housekeeping
1. The chairman explained the term and meaning of housekeeping in context of
English Language Meetings.
2. The new curriculum policy (KSSR, MBMMBI and PBS)
a. The Chairman briefed of the national level picket will be held in order to
abrogate the mischievous PBS somewhere in the future.
b. He also briefed on the one hour additional time for the new teaching
period in a week for every English Language teacher due to the shift in
new curriculum.
c. The Chairman also stated that the lesson plan the KSSR must follow
the Curriculum Standard and must be standardized. He also provided
example of the Lesson Plan for the KSSR for every teacher.

4. Observation on pupils work.

UPSR analysis and TOV

1. The chairman read and briefed the previous UPSR results.
2. He explained the need to emphasize on the English Language activity outside
the classroom.

English Panel Improvement Program

1. The chairman informed; the previous Improvement program should and would
be carried out as planned as continuity to the previous year program.
2. The chairman informed and suggested of new and additional program id est:
a. Spelling Bee aka Spell It Right
b. Reading in Assembly.
c. English Corner.
d. Chit Chat Time( simple sentence construction)

e. Master of the Ceremony (MC) during the assembly.

f. Self-access learning centre.
g. Motivation Badge.
3. These English activities are among others of year Six PKSR improvement
program. It is a cross venture with all Year-six-core-subject Teacher. They will
from time to time monitor the progress of the pupils and report the progress in
a month time.

Other matters related:

1. En. Nazri explained on the existence of English Grammar Module written in
Bahasa that can be bought in bookstores.
2. En. Ridzuan expressed his gratitude to the chairman, advisor and the
committee members for believing him in teaching this year UPSR classes
after the previous setback.
