This research is motivated by the ability of students about
understanding of mathematical concepts is still low and the
students do not know the duties and responsibilities of the
group .the effort done to improve students ability in
comprehension of mathematical concepts

cooperative learning Structured Techniques Numbered heads and
numbered heads. the research aims to determine whether there
are differences in students about understanding of mathematical
concepts using cooperative learning model of structured
techniques numbered Heads and numbered Heads class VIII
SMPN18 PADANG
The type of this research is experiment research .Population
object of this research is students of SMPN 18 PADANG on the
year 2014 / 2015.Sampling method of this research is a random
sampling, which was selected as a sample class is a class VIII4 as
experiment class I and class VIII3 as the experiment class
II.Instrument with using for data collection in this study is test
results of the final study with indicators of students about
comprehension of mathematical concepts.
Based on the analysis obtained that average values final test
about comprehension of concepts in the experiment class I is
75.11, while the average value of the experiment of class II is
60,79.Hypothesis testing used is test-1 two parties that received
