Major parts
Construction
All the required tools and seeder mechanism are fitted to a frame.
Front end of the frame consists of a set of tools with sharp ends followed by a crusher.
A pulley is attached to the shaft connected to main drive. Another shaft connects this
shaft through pulley for power transmission.
The shaft also connects all seeding mechanism through bevel gears.
At starting end of this shaft a crank slider mechanism links to the shaft carrying all the
flaps.
Operation
When the whole vehicle is pulled in forward direction first the tools present in the
front of the frame first comes in contact with the soil and breaks it.
Further the soil is made softer by a crusher which will crush the soil with a rotary
input from the belt drive attached to the main drive.
The crushed soil passes under a concave shaped sharp tool which helps in forming a
continuous heap of soil.
The seeder mechanism operates based on the speed of rpm of tyre since it is directly
linked to main drive.
The seeder starts seeding by a to-fro linear motion got by the help of a scotch yoke
mechanism.
The seeders are followed by a set of flaps parallel to t which are again operated from
the main drive through a crank slider mechanism.
The shaft of the flaps rotates only by an angle, thus making it to strike and press the
soil after seeding.
Advantages
Rapid seeding machine can cover large area of seeding in a short period of time.
Unskilled farmer can operate the machine.
Highly efficient and accuracy of seeding is high.
Cost efficient.
Ease of maintenance.
Rate of seeding depends on rpm of tyre, thus if the vehicle is pulled faster seeding will
be faster.
Disadvantages
Conclusion
The aim of the project is to change the procedure of agricultural methods for better yielding
and thereby increase the economy of the country. The project mainly concentrates on
increasing the rate of production by increasing the rate of growing crops.
