the Command Reference to know about the usage and the value range of the parameters of the related

4.1 Release Modes

This section describes the two release modes of the documentation of the S9300: delivered with
the device and released on the website.

This section describes the documents delivered with the device and storage modes.

The latest Huawei documents are released at http://support.huawei.com. You can retrieve and
download all the documents from this site.
4.1.1 Delivered with the Device

This section describes the documents delivered with the device and storage modes.
The CD-ROM for the package of documents and hard copy of the documents are delivered with
the S9300.
The CD-ROM, Quidway S9300 Terabit Routing Switch Product Documents, stores the
electronic files of all the documents contained in the package of documents.
Table 4-1 lists the storage modes of each document.

4.2.1 Documentation Version

Huawei releases updated documents periodically to ensure that the documentation consists with
the product version and rectify the bugs in the documents. You can judge the product version
that the documents apply to and whether the document is the latest version according to the
document version.
4.2.2 Obtaining Documentation
Currently, in addition to the documents delivered with the device, you can obtain the
documentation in the following ways:
4.2.1 Documentation Version

Huawei releases updated documents periodically to ensure that the documentation consists with
the product version and rectify the bugs in the documents. You can judge the product version
that the documents apply to and whether the document is the latest version according to the
document version.
NOTE
The product version is the version of the software of the product to which the document corresponds. You
can view the version number of the product by using the display version command after logging in to the
device.
Before applying for the documentation, you must know its version. Otherwise, the document obtained may
be different from the device that you use.
The title page contains the following information:

l
Product model: indicates the product model corresponding to the document, as shown in
Figure 4-1, the product model is "Quidway S9300" and the product type is "Terabit Routing
Switch."
Product version: indicates the version of the document. If this document applies to several
versions of a product, the version numbers are separated by ampersand (&). As shown in
Figure 4-1, the product version is "V100R002C00".
For details on the product version, see Product Version of the Preface, as shown in Figure
4-2.
Document version: indicates the number of times the document of this version is released.
When the document is released for the first time, the release number is "01". Every time
the version of a product document is upgraded, the release number increases by one. For
example, the document version shown in Figure 4-1 is released for the first time, the release
number changes from "01" to "02" when the document is updated the next time.
Release date: indicates the date when the documents are released in public, as shown in
Figure 4-1, the release date is 2009-08-15.
