Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for 15-24
year olds according to the CDC that is the (Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention)
500,000 teenagers attempt suicide, about 5000
succeed every year
In terms of gender more females express lifestyle
suicidal thoughts and even attempted suicide, but
more males actually complete suicide

Depression, which usually involves expressions of self-hate, hopelessness
and despair
Changes in personality
Self-punishing thoughts or actions
Increased risk-taking
Increased substance use or abuse
