Accessing Brokerage Account Information
To begin, you may be asked to enter your account number or social security
number for initial identification.
You can find your account number at www.etrade.com under the Accounts tab.
Next you will hear the Main Menu, which will provide you with access to the
following: Quotes, Trading, Market News, Account Information.
If you select Trading or Account Information, you will be prompted to enter your
website password. To enter it, you will need to press the numeric equivalent on
your telephone keypad. For each letter, press its relevant number key once. If
you do nott have your web password, say Customer Service to speak with a
Financial Services Representative for further assistance.

From January 1 through April 15, the main menu will also offer a tax
information option.
You can skip ahead a level from the Main Menu. For example,
instead of saying quotes and then stocks, say stock
quotes at the menu and you will be sent directly there.
If you have more than one account you can say switch accounts, and then
select the account you wish to access next within the same phone call.

Getting a quote
To get a stock quote, you can either say the company
name or its ticker symbol.
Example: say Apple, or its symbol A-A-P-L
To enter a symbol on the telephone keypad, you will
need to press two keys that correspond to each letter.
First press the corresponding number key for the letter,
then press 1, 2, 3 or 4 for the letters position on that
key.
Example: AAPL (Apple Inc.) = A (2 1), A (2 1), P (7 1), L (5 3)

For an option quote, say the full option (e.g. Intel May, 18,
2013, $20 call). As an alternative, you can also enter each
part of the option separately, step-by-step.
For a mutual fund quote, simply speak the fund symbol
(e.g. B-U-F-S-X), or enter on the telephone keypad.

Tips for placing a Trade via the IVR


When placing a stock or option trade, you can follow the prompts step by
step or do it faster by combining words or phrases like company name,
price and number of shares into one sentence. Once you have finished
entering your order instructions, the IVR will read back your instructions and
ask you to confirm before the order is placed.

When entering a price with a decimal, use point for the decimal; for
example, for $12.85 say twelve point eight five.
You can also enter a price on your touchtone keypad, using the star key for
the decimal; for example, for $12.85 enter 1-2-*-8-5.
At any time, if you need help, say Customer Service to speak with a
Financial Service Representative.
There is no cost for using the IVR, but normal commissions apply. Trades are
executed only during regular market hours (9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET).
The IVR currently does not support extended-hours trading. Any trades placed a
outside of regular market hours will be submitted for the next regular market day
session.
