1985-2013

A federally chartered entity created to provide liquidity in the mortgage industry by purchasing mortgage loans from
primary lenders. Freddie Mac contracts with hundreds of financial institutions (counterparties), many of which are
major Fortune 500 companies, to service a multi-billion-dollar mortgage portfolio.

CUSTOMER RISK EVALUATION MANAGER (2004 2013)


Oversaw the risk management process for counterparties that failed to remain compliant with Freddie Macs
financial requirements. Responsible for decision-making regarding course of action to take suspension,
termination, and workout - with respect to non-compliant entities. Managed and trained junior staff in the
execution of all phases of adverse actions, including on-site recovery of loan files and custodial funds in the case of
terminations. Developed company-wide training around adverse actions and portfolio recovery processes.
Monitor and assess internal controls established to ensure compliance with Freddie Macs requirements.

Mitigated Freddie Macs risk associated with counterparties by transferring assets to interim servicers after the
termination of non-compliant counterparties. Managed ongoing relationship with interim servicers, and acted as
a liaison between terminated counterparties and interim servicers to ensure an efficient transition of the
mortgage portfolio. Worked closely with Freddie Macs legal department during all phases of the transfer of the
portfolio and the recovery of Freddie Mac funds.

Negotiated contracts with external vendors who served as interim servicers on behalf of Freddie Mac,
ensuring compliance with Freddie Macs policies and financial requirements.
Led the onsite recovery of loan files, data, and custodial funds.
Performed onsite audits of multi-million dollars of payments collected by terminated counterparties from
borrowers and held in custodial accounts for the payment of principal, interest, taxes and insurance.
Worked with senior bank officials to ensure that the funds in the terminated custodial counterparties
accounts were transferred to bank accounts specified by Freddie Mac.
Conducted onsite accounting and audit of the mortgage loan files to ensure that all files and required

Monitored monthly loan data reporting and compliance for 60 counterparties. Responsible for ensuring timely
and accurate reporting of all loan transactions related to Freddie Macs assets and provided instructions to
counterparties for resolving all errors and discrepancies by required deadlines.

Performed financial analysis to ensure counterparties compliance with Freddie Macs accounting policies
and contractual terms of business.
Performed daily cash flow analysis and ongoing reconciliation of bank accounts to trial balances.
Developed procedures, job aids, flow charts and training sessions to resolve Adjustable-Rate Mortgage
(ARM) discrepancies.
