Dear Friends,
Modern slavery is a $150 billion a year criminal industry that affects millions of people around the world.
Women, children, and men are held in modern forms of slavery, forced to provide commercial sex acts
and labor services in each and every nation. To ensure we are identifying and helping the most victims,
its critical that organizations combating modern slavery can easily coordinate our response and connect
victims with services throughout the world.
Today, we are honored to unite with hundreds of organizations worldwide in the fight against human
trafficking by announcing the launch of a first-of-its kind Global Modern Slavery Directory. The Global
Modern Slavery Directory is a growing, publically searchable database of more than 770 organizations
and hotlines working on human trafficking and forced labor. With over 120 countries represented, the
Directory will better enable service providers, law enforcement, policy makers, and advocates to both
identify modern slavery organizations in specific countries and determine what services are or are not
provided in a region.
Visit and explore the Global Modern Slavery Directory at www.globalmodernslavery.org.
The Global Modern Slavery Directory will help connect victims of human trafficking and at-risk populations
to the help they need. People visiting the website can search for organizations in a specific country, as
well as looking for the types of services provided and the populations served for a particular region.
Hundreds more organizations will be added in the coming years as our partners continue to verify them.
We invite you to help us spread the word about the Global Modern Slavery Directory so more people are
aware this resource now exists. Share the link to the Directory on your social media accounts to let your
followers know about it using the hashtags: #Anti-slaveryDirectory, #modernslavery and #endslavery.
You can also share our posts, or retweet the posts from Directorys founding organizations: @Polaris_
Project, @Freedom_Fund, and @WalkFree.
Together we can help raise awareness about this new tool in the fight against modern slavery and human
trafficking. Thank you for your support.
