This course covers basic principles in dealing with pharmacological
agents. It will include drug classification, properties, usage
administration and side effects. This course will improve the students'
role and increase the students experience and efficiency while dealing
with clients, drug therapy and medical points. It focuses on nursing
imputation for drug therapy, safety precautions for preparation and
storage of medications, mechanism of action, mathematical nursing
problems, commonly used abbreviations.

drug-receptor interactions.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of the basic concepts of pharmacokinetics which include
absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of medication.
5. Provide students with a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental
Pharmacology and uses of the major classes of clinically important drugs currently
used in medical practice.
6. Describe the indications, contraindications, and pharmacological concerns of
specific drugs used.
