    Design Direction 1: Modern / Iconic

    This direction distills each designer’s work into


    its most simple possible representation. It is at
    once ambiguous– creating curiousity in the
    audience, and straight-forward– communicating
    the neccesary information in the most direct
    manner possible.

    The modern and iconic design portrays the


    program as one that is flawlessly progressing
    into the 21st century, but not without its
    foundation of interdisciplinary collaboration.

    Design Direction 2: Collaboration / Textural / Dramatic

    This direction emphasizes the collaborative and


    interdisciplinary aspects of the UT MFA Design
    program. Each designer’s work is prominent on
    her postcard, but each also contains tiny hints
    of the other designers’ works.

    This demonstrates the power of seemingly


    disparate concentrations working together
    as a whole.

    In direct contrast to Direction 1’s cleanliness,


    Direction 2 offers a more textural and dramatic
    audience experience, with the texture of each
    postcard relating directly to the work of the
    designer featured on that card.
