thingsthatarecoveredbySa2.5,likediscoloration,visibleoil,andgreynesswithaprofilometer.NorcanIseehowyoucan
reasonablyexpectagivensurfaceprofilefromperformingoperationsthatcomplywithablastcleaningspecificationthatis
unconcernedaboutsurfaceprofile,andwhichapparentlypermitstheuseofanyblastingmaterialofanysizeforanyamountof
time.
However,youcancertainlyspecifybothrequirements,justasyoucanspecifythatyouwanttobuyacarwith5seatsandofred

HiRob.Onethingtokeepinmindisthatathickcoatingonaverysmoothsurfacedoesnotstickaswell,inmanycases,comparedtothe
samecoatingonalightlyroughenedsurfaceduetoasmallersurface/contactarea.Therefore,ifadhesioniscriticalandthecoatingisfairly
thick,63Raorhighermaybeappropriate.Ontheotherhand,ifagivencoatingisverythin,perhapsaveryfinefinishsuchas8orlesswill
workfine.Anotherexampleisacasewherevisualdifferencesaredesired.Ifathincoatingisplaceduponahighlypolishedsurface,the
articlewillpossiblylookverydifferent(shinier)thanacasewherethesamecoatingisplaceduponamillfinishorroughenedarticle.
However,iftheDFTisquitehigh,theunderlyingRaislessnoticeable.Afterplating,thesurfaceroughnessshouldnotchangeverymuchin
