Food for Thought

Wedding Menus for the 2014 season


All of the following buffet menus are available here at Earlyhouse for
$24.00 per person for with a minimum of 85 guests. There is no
charge for children under 4 and children 5-12 are price.
Any menu item can be customized to your tastes. Some items
may not be available year round. Other menus, including a heavy hors
doeuvres menu and a casual menu are also available.

Food for Thought wedding menus include the following

Fresh baked rolls and butter
A self-service beverage station with your choice of lemonade and iced
tea, available from cocktails through dinner service.
The skirted Buffet will also be set with glass dinner plates, silverware
and paper napkins, as well as heated chafers and serving ware. Our
staff will set up buffet and keep it full, clear tables after dinner, remove
buffet serving items 1 1 hours after dinner begins.
We provide cake cutting service at no additional charge.

Hors Doeuvres (choose 4) you may choose stationary, passed or a
combination of both
Available for your guests immediately after your ceremony, a tray will
also be presented to the wedding party before or during pictures.
Cocktail service will be disposable appetizer plates, picks and cocktail
napkins

Stationary Displays
Farmers Market fresh vegetable crudits and pita served with
Ranch dip and Hummus
Seasonal fruit display, including strawberries, grapes, berries
and melons
Artful display of imported and domestic cheeses, including fruit
topped Brie, with cracker assortment,
Our signature savory cheesecakes (Greek with Feta and olives,
Chesapeake with Old Bay and Crab, Southwestern, and others)
served with pita
Gourmet Deviled eggs served with baby dill and sweet pickles
(you know everyone loves them)
Artichoke Dip chopped artichokes, cream cheese and parmesan
baked bubbly and served with pita chips
Meatballs our handmade meatballs in a variety of flavors
Asian, Bar-b-q, Italian, or Swedish
Passed Appetizers (butlered to your guests by our the staff)
Caprese (tomato and fresh mozzarella) skewered with balsamic
vinaigrette pipette
Miniature chicken and herbed cheese phyllo tarts
Stuffed mushrooms
Chicken, Caramelized Onion & Cheddar Quesadillas
Tender steamed shrimp in mini tumblers with cocktail sauce
Korean Beef with Asian Slaw served in bamboo cones with
tongs
We are pleased to recommend our Signature Charcuterie Board in
place of the above appetizers

An overflowing sampling of domestic and international cheeses
(including Brie, smoked Gouda, Swiss and pepper jack) and cured
meats, (including baked ham, salami and Cuban pork), artfully
presented with a variety of fresh fruits, fresh and marinated vegetables
and crackers

Salads Choose 1 of the following
Mixed greens with mandarin oranges, strawberries, almonds and
cucumbers, in an Asian inspired light vinaigrette

Mixed greens, olives, feta cheese, cucumbers in a Greek vinaigrette


House green salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions served with 2
dressings (Ranch and Creamy Italian)
Mixed baby greens with pears or apples, cranberries, and candied
pecans served with raspberry vinaigrette.
Mixed lettuces with Granny Smith apples, aged Cheddar, pepper bacon
and spiced nuts with Ranch dressing

Beef
Traditional Farmhouse Roast Beef -Moist & flavorful in a rich, dark
gravy our #1 beef dish
Roast Beef with Demi-glace Medium- rare tender beef slices with a
dark red wine and beef reduction
Beef Bourguignon - tender beef slow roasted in a rich gravy of red
wine, mushrooms and onions,
Grilled London Broil- a summertime favorite, tender marinated steak,
sliced with grilled onions on the side
Chicken/turkey
Chicken Marsala Classic offering of sauted chicken breasts &
mushrooms in a butter and Marsala wine sauce
Roast Turkey w/ classic Herb Dressing & Gravy moist turkey breast
served with our home-style dressing & gravy
Grilled and glazed Chicken Breasts tender, moist chicken breasts
with a sweet/spicy glaze
Baked Chicken Breast boneless chicken breast served in a lightly
herbed gravy
Pork
Herb Crusted Roast Pork Loin served with apple and herb dressing
Baked Ham- the all-American favorite with brown sugar and pineapple
glaze.
Grilled and Glazed Pork Tenderloin- tender medallions and served with
apple cider pan sauce.
Pulled Pork Barbeque- North Carolina style, served with our homemade
coleslaw and 2 sauces
Fish and Seafood
Baked Salmon a delightful fresh presentation, served with cucumber
dill crme fraiche

Grilled Salmon accompanied by Mango Salsa


Mussels in garlic, herbs and white wine the classic recipe displayed
on a bed of linguine
Pasta
Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo -a beautiful presentation of sauted chicken
breast, tender broccoli & creamy Alfredo
Vegetarian Lasagna- mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, and onions paired
with 3 cheeses and a rich marinara,
Shrimp Scampi tender shrimp sauted in butter with garlic and white
wine, served with angel hair pasta
EH Signature Lasagna - our decadent version: meaty, cheesy and
delicious (Baked Ziti is also available)

Creamy REAL Mashed potatoes -our most popular option
Caprese Display -mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and basil drizzled with
balsamic vinegar
Country Style Green Beans -slow cooked with ham and our house
blend of spices.
