more, and this year, the second Annual
Catwalk for Cancer has raised $58,000.
The fundraising group that the Elisha
and Raz families organized is called
TeamTallie, and so far between all the different fundraisers, they have raised more
than $100,000 for pediatric cancer research.
For Ashley and Tallie, it feels good to be
working toward a cure.
On March 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. the
Eisenhower Corporate Campus in

Livingston, became a fun fashion powerhouse for good. During the first hour there
were raffles of gift baskets which had been
donated by local vendors. A magician was
performing mystifying tricks. There was
face painting and balloons for the kids. Also
during this time Caring Capital, a unique
local organization which works with businesses on team building while also running
a volunteer project, had Hearts4Cancer
going on. At their tables, children were able
to decorate heart tiles which were assem-

bled to make 20 collages each with four

tiles. Twenty children who are receiving
cancer treatment at Memorial SloanKettering will each receive a collage.
In the second half of the evening the
show began. First were introductions talking about where the funds were going and a
personal testimony by a local family
impacted by the work by Memorial SloanKettering. After the speeches, the main
event took place, in which more than 40
models walked the runway for a cure. Each
model also did fundraising prior to the event
with individual fundraising pages. The
clothes and accessories were provided by
local merchants. The models were all children between the ages of four and 14 who
were excited to strut their stuff for pediatric
cancer research.
This is only the beginning of the story
for Ashley and Tallie, both 14 years old.
After having suffered through cancer and
seen other children suffering, some of
whom were not as fortunate as Tallie, these
girls want to keep working for a cure. Tallie

is in remission and received her last treatment about six months ago.
This event isn't only about fundraising,
but also raises awareness of pediatric cancer.
There is a lot of information about breast
cancer out there and that has really driven
the fundraising movement. Hearing personal stories and knowing people who have
personally been affected motivates people
to become involved in the fight for the cure.
Attending events like Catwalk4Cancer and
making a heart collage for children who are
suffering, brings the reality of the situation
home. Meeting Tallie and other survivors of
pediatric cancer makes the abstract idea of
cancer a personal reality.
Steve Raz, Ashley's father, commented
"You may have seen our tag line 'Together
we will find a cure' and it can't come soon
enough."

Millburn High School Ranks Seventh In State

By Jason Cohen
iche.com, a website that evaluates
schools based on parent and student reviews, recently released a
report where Millburn High School was
ranked seventh in the state. Millburn High
School has 1,477 students and according to
state standards, 96 percent of the students
are considered proficient in math and/or
reading.
However, outside of Mountain Lakes
High School, which was ranked sixth, the
top five are selective public high schools,
not traditional open enrollment schools.
They are: number one - High Technology
High School in Lincroft; number twoTechnical School in Teterboro; number
Three- High Tech High School in North
Bergen; number four- Biotechnology High
School in Freehold; and number five, Dr.
Ronald E. Mcnair Academic High School
in Jersey City.
Were happy with these rankings
because we did well, but there is so much
more than what every school has to offer
other than just what they are ranked, said

Millburn High School Principal William

Miron.
Miron, who has been principal for eight
years and taught in the district for 34, said
this is a high achieving school with parents
and teachers that care and diligent children.
People are always talking about the
pressure on the students, but its better than
empathy, he said. Some communities,
people dont care.
Miron, who grew up in Millburn, is
proud to work in the district. The school
has adapted to many changes including
technology, teacher evaluations, common
core and standardized tests.
Not only do students excel in the classroom, but a high percentage of them attend
college.
One of the biggest things going for us
is our staff, students and administration is
never satisfied with the status quo, Miron
said. We think were doing a pretty good
job of meeting our goals, which happen to
coincide with the common core.
Miron credits his schools success not

BREAKFAST, LUNCH
& BAKERY CAFE

just to academics. It has good theater,

sports and music programs and in 2013, it
was the recipient of the ShopRite Cup,
which goes to the school with the most
championships in the state based on the
size of the school.
We try to strive for excellence in
everything we do, he said.
Miron said the school hopes to integrate
more technology in the classrooms, but
ultimately feels good about its future.
More importantly, what we keep asking ourselves is what we arent doing? he
said. We strive to be better in every way
we can.
Niche.com uses a detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in NJ and
collected 4.6 million opinions from
280,000 NJ students and parents.
The site reported that parent/student
surveys gave the school an A+ overall

grade. It received
A+ grades in academics, administration and policies, educational outcomes
and teachers. The school received A
grades in extracurriculars and A grades
in health and safety and resources and
facilities. Its lowest grade was a C+ rating in food and student culture/diversity.
A high overall ranking includes the following criteria: Students are happy with
their experience in all aspects including
academics, teachers, health, safety,
resources, facilities, extracurriculars,
sports and fitness; Schools are exceptional
academic institutions in terms of teachers,
students, resources for learning and student outcomes; Schools are made up of a
diverse population and foster an accepting,
positive school culture; Students are
actively involved in extracurriculars and
sports the district offers.

Unlike other newspapers that incorporate both the good and bad news, New
View Media Group will feature only good
news.
We will have a group of community
newspapers with good family friendly content, says Nicastro. There are other publications as in any market we are in but we
try to bring a different perspective with all
good news.
The name, New View Media Group
LLC, came from The idea that we have a
new view on media, says Nicastro.
All community news, from schools to

government, people, organizations, places

of worship, libraries, non-profit organizations, volunteer services, childrens
groups, scouts, fundraisers and more will
be featured in the pages of New View
Media Group. The companys philosophy
is to showcase and inform all readers about
the good that surrounds them day to day,
the positive, and the uniqueness of their
community.
The Marketeer, a free shopper-type supplement delivered monthly to all homes,
has been around for the past 30 years. By
growing these papers, the community will
have all the positive news at their finger-

tips.
Established in 2003 with just two
monthlies in Mt. Olive and Hackettstown,
MJ Media which stands for My Jersey
Media grew to eight free monthlies over
the years reaching 84,831 homes and businesses. They include the Mt. Olive News,
Hackettstown News, Roxbury News,
Randolph News, Black River News,
Musconetcong News, Black River News,
Morristown News and Mendham News.
Both groups complimented each other
with their circulations so for local businesses it will be very beneficial, says
Nicastro. Despite the digital age, 2015 is a
great time for community newspapers.
Free community papers are different
than paid papers, explains Nicastro.
People want local news and it is hard to
find. The hyper local sites are good. There
is something about having a paper to hold,
people still call us for copies when their
kids are in the paper so they can cut it out
and hang it up- different than printing it off
a printer.
The additional seven papers include the

Livingston News, Hanover News,

Caldwell News, Verona/Cedar Grove
News, Millburn/Short Hills News, East
Hanover/Florham Park News, and
Maplewood/South Orange News.
The greatest challenge faced by the new
company will be Getting information
from the community, says Nicastro.
The community is the best source for
information. People serve as the eyes and
ears as to what is going on around them.
Please send all press releases and positive

IMPLANT DENTISTRY
For over twenty years, implant dentistry has been a reliable option for patients
with missing teeth. With the ability to support a crown, an implant procedure
has the capacity to bypass drilling the adjacent teeth. Additionally, with the
recent availability of mini implants, implant dentistry has expanded its utilization to anchoring both full and partial dentures for a more secure fit. As they
provide an economic alternative, patients have been very receptive of mini
implants, as they make eating and speaking with dentures much easier.
Dr. Helen Chiu has always been involved in implant dentistry, making it an
integrated part of her everyday practice. From replacing a single tooth, inserting crowns or bridges, securing dentures, to creating multiple, full-arch reconstructions, she performs every step of each process, surgical and restorative.

Mothers Day Gift Guide

Tips for Dining Out on Mother's Day

other's Day is
right around the
corner, and this
special holiday serves to
honor all those women who
devote so much time and
effort to their families. While
gifts and other trinkets are
certainly part of the celebration, a vast majority of children opt to treat Mom to a
night out on the town come
Mother's Day. Not only does
this give mom a night off
from cooking, but also it
presents an opportunity to
get dressed up and spend
time together as a family.
A vast number of families
travel to their favorite restaurants for Mother's Day
meals. Mother's Day is one
of the busiest holidays of the

year for restaurants. The

National Retail Federation
says 54.8 percent of
Americans treat their mothers to a special meal out on
Mother's Day. Billions of
dollars are generated by people eating out with their
mothers. With large crowds
to be expected, diners can
follow a few tips when treating Mom to a meal.
Book early ... very early.
To guarantee a reservation at
any restaurant, namely your
favorite restaurant, you will
need to make a reservation
well in advance of Mother's
Day. It's never too early to
put your name on the reservation list. Don't forget
Mother's Day is Sunday,
May 11, 2014.

Expect to wait. Even

with a reservation, you're
bound to spend some time
waiting at the restaurant.
Other families may be lingering at their tables, as no
one wants to rush Mom out
of the door. Plan accordingly
for a potentially long wait
time. This means having a
snack before you leave.
Don't arrive famished, as no
one wants the dining party to
be hungry and cranky, which
is not a good way to celebrate Mom. Have plenty of
snacks and drinks on hand
for young children, as well
as activities to keep them
entertained.
Consider dining out a
day before or after.
Restaurants are generally

packed on Mother's Day, and

as a result kitchen and wait
staffs might be overtaxed.
What's more, diners might
be relegated to a special or
abbreviated menu. If you
want a more relaxed setting
and the ability to order whatever you desire, it may be a
better idea to celebrate
Mother's Day in advance.
Then have Mom enjoy a
relaxing day at home on her
special day.
Take-out is an option.
Families can treat Mom to a
dinner out, without really
having to go out. Many
restaurants offer takeout
service, so you will not be
limited to pizza or Chinese.
Even chain restaurants have
curbside service, so if Mom
is in the mood for a burger or
something more elaborate,
she'll have that option.
Expect an included gratuity. Restaurants often
include a gratuity in the bill

when servicing larger parties, such as those that might

be celebrating Mother's Day.
The standard gratuity rate is
18 percent, but you may
want to go above and
beyond if you feel the service is exemplary.
Hire a sitter for young
kids. Although Mother's
Day is a chance for the
entire family to spend time
together, the main goal is to

ensure Mom's comfort and

happiness. If very young
children are in tow, she may
not be able to relax and
enjoy her meal. Infants will
need to be fed, and toddlers
may be easily distracted.
Have a sitter watch little
ones when adults are dining
out, and then Mom can
enjoy time with the kids
when she returns home for
more celebrating.

he Millburn Middle School Spring

Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, is
set to be held on Fri., April 24 and
Sat., April 25 at 7 p.m. A Sunday matinee
will be presented at 1 p.m. on April 26.
Tickets are $15 and are on sale online at
mms.booktix.com. They may also be purchased in the guidance office after school
from April 14 to 24th or they are available

Little Shop of Horrors is a favorite for
many, especially for those who remember
the original Off-Broadway production in
early 1980s.With book and lyrics by
Howard Ashman and music by Howard
Menken, Little Shop continues to thrill
audiences with its story of temptation and
greed. As the musical adaptation of the
1960 black comedy by Robert Coman, it
tells the story of Seymour, a down-on-hisluck store clerk whose life on Skid Row
suddenly changes when he finds himself
the caretaker of a man-eating plant. The
musical was also made into a 1986 film of
the same name. The music of Little Shop

of Horrors is in the style of 1960s doo

wop, rock and roll, and early Motown.
Some favorites from the show include
Somewhere Thats Green and Suddenly
Seymour.
Director Bob DuSold returns to
Millburn Middle School for his third production, and he brings with him all of his
experience as a Broadway actor. A
Maplewood resident, he has performed on
Broadway in productions of Les Miserable
and Showboat, as well as national tours of
Mamma Mia!, Chicago, and Evita.
Choreography for Little Shop is under the
direction of English teacher Mark Oppel.
Music teacher, David Huneryager, who
also has years of experience as an actor in
musicals on and off Broadway, serves as
the musical director. The MMS musical is
co-produced by Susan Cicenia and
Dominick Pisa, and its set decoration has
been completed by Claudia Sohr. The set
design and construction for this production
has been completed by Rick Cimino.
Once again, the Middle School is using

(left to right) Caitlyn Sleeman (Chiffon); Gillian Cohen (Ronnette); Amanda Faust (Audrey); and Lucy
Hall (Crystal). Amanda is singing "Somewhere it's Green"

an online site for ticket sales. It allows

more convenient access to tickets for students, parents, and interested community

recent study authored by education and psychology experts in Australia suggests that kids are
spending far more time looking at screens than the
two hours recommended by the American Academy of
Pediatrics. Published in the journal BMC Public Health in
early 2015, the study surveyed more than 2,600 Australian
students between the ages of eight and 16 to determine
how much screen-based media use, or SBMU, kids were
averaging each day. SBMU included television viewing,
computer usage and video game playing. The study determined that 45 percent of eight-year-olds and 80 percent of
16-year-olds were exceeding the recommended two hours
of screen time per day.

Silly Leprechaun Visits Homes In Popular Childrens Book

By Cheryl Conway
ike other leprechauns, Silly
McGilly returned to Ireland last
month to make more shoes, but his
time here was well spent entertaining
young and old during the St. Patricks Day
holiday.
Who is Silly McGilly?-some may ask.
He is a new leprechaun friend created by
three women of New Jersey, one who lives
right in Morris County. Michelle CoffeyDougherty of Montville, along with her
sister Eileen Coffey-Cowley of Sea Girt,
and their sister-in-law Victoria ClarkCoffey of Basking Ridge are the authors of
Silly McGilly.
Their book, Silly McGilly was written
two years ago in 2013, but first sold in
stores last year. Dougherty held a book
reading at the Learning Express Toys in
Morristown last month during Read
Across America Week.
With cupid on Valentines Day, and the
Easter Bunny on Easter, why not in
between introduce a cute and clever leprechaun parade into St. Patricks Day.
In an often overlooked family holiday,

Silly McGilly is a breath of fresh air, as

stated in the books press release. He visits homes and classrooms to play fun little
tricks on children in the month, weeks,
days leading up to St. Patricks Day.
Michelle says she thought of the idea
after Christmas time when her seven-year
old son was saying how sad he was that
Christmas was over, what do we have to
look forward to?
We have a leprechaun but he comes
one night, explains Michelle, so why not
create a character to help raise awareness
of the tradition and create great family
memories.
As Irish Americans, the three authors
wanted to breathe some new life into St.
Patricks Day, especially having 10 children between them, and their immense
love for family traditions.
Six months to write, the three sisters
met regularly to complete their book. We
all sat together; cousins would sit and play
and we would all work, sales Michelle,
former pre-K through second grade
teacher. With sales, marketing and teaching in their background, the sisters com-

Michelle Coffey-Dougherty and Victoria Coffey.

bined their skills to self-publish a creative
childrens book.
"Silly McGilly is a labor of love for our
entire family," said Eileen Cowley. "We

were all brought up to appreciate our Irish

culture and particularly enjoyed the fun
and revelry of St. Patrick's Day. However,

Popular Childrens Book...

continued from previous page
we also recognized that there was no defining story or character that young children
could embrace, both literally and figuratively. And so, Silly McGilly was born!"
The book tells the story of the very lovable Silly McGilly. Silly is a friendly leprechaun who enjoys visiting homes and
classrooms to play funny little tricks on
children throughout the St. Patrick's Day
season.
For some, Silly can visit every day in
March, others once a week, or the day
before St. Patrick's Day.
In Michelles house, Silly McGilly visits for 17 days in March leading up to St.
Patricks Day. She uses it when March
begins.
When you read the book you put the
doll by the window as an indication for the
real Silly McGilly to come into your home
to do a trick, explains Michelle. Then
every day, kids wake up to new tricks by
the green leprechaun.
Examples of tricks, which are also outlined in the book, include turning toilet
bowl water green, or pictures turned

upside down.
Maybe he's left some treats behind
such as chocolate coins, shamrocks or St.
Patrick's Day stickers. Or, maybe he's been
up to a little mischief, turning over chairs,
writing on the blackboard, or leaving the
kitchen cabinets open.
Michelle says, Its up to each parent to
decide what they want to do. Parents and
kids come up creative ideas each day. Then
after St. Patricks Day, he goes back to
Ireland to making shoes because thats
what leprechauns do.
We created a family tradition, says
Michelle. Kids are excited, they look forward to it. Kids wake up and are excited.
Its a great tradition creating family memories. Children grow up so quickly. Its
something to enjoy with the whole family.
Its a great tradition whether you are Irish
or not.
Teachers are using it in classrooms,
pre-kindergarten through third grade, in all
50 states.
Last year, Silly McGilly was so popular
he sold out. This year, sales have doubled

and orders are still coming in. Michelle

was heading to Ireland to meet with a gift
shop owner to carry Silly McGilly there.
A fun new childrens hard-cover book,
Silly McGilly is 24 pages long and selfpublished. Each book comes with an eight
inch, soft, plush leprechaun.
Whether youre Irish or not, wonderful memories are waiting for you with this
new St. Patrick's Day tradition!

Its a great gift for a birthday, for the

holidays, at any time of year, concludes
Michelle. You can give it during the year;
its exciting and something to look forward
to.
Sold for $29.99 on the website, the
book includes a keepsake box with the
doll. Go to www.sillymcgilly.com or
Learning Express in Morristown to purchase a copy.

arents have long relied on coupons to

help them reduce the cost of raising
their families. While it might once
have been necessary to scan grocery store
circulars and break out the scissors to take
advantage of store discounts, more and
more consumers are now turning to digital
coupons offered via their mobile devices to
save money. According to eMarketer, a firm
that covers digital marketing, media and
commerce, the number of adults who
redeem coupons via their mobile devices is
expected to rise to roughly 104 million peo-

ple by 2016. That's a significant uptick from

the number of digital couponers in 2014,
when a little more than 78.5 million adults
took advantage of digital coupons offered
via their mobile devices. The growing popularity of mobile coupons has sparked
increased interest among marketers, as
eMarketer projects that 44.5 percent of marketers will offer mobile coupons in 2016,
compared to just 36.5 percent in 2014.
Families looking to save money on their
nextshopping trip would be wise to take
their mobile devices along with them.

Thomas Edison Helped Ignite The Record Career of Sophie Tucker

The Last of The Red Hot Mamas

by Michele Guttenberger
s early as 1887,
Thomas Edison has
become a name in
the home entertainment
industry. His company manufactured
phonographs
(needle/stylus music player)
and its music medium (analog recordings on a wax
cylinders and Blue Amberol
his patented plastic material). He not only had a say in
the production and technology of this emerging industry but, he also had control
of the artists that recorded
on his label. Thomas Edison
was not only a wizard of
invention; he also became a
music recording mogul with
his own namesake record
label and recording studio.
Recording artists made the
trek to West Orange NJ or
Manhattan to have their

voice and instrumentals

recorded and played on his
home and parlor music players the phonograph.
Thomas Edison was the
original American idol
judge on musical talent and
he determined if an artist
was worthy of a record label
contract. The current popularity of the performers
music did not sway Edisons
biased judgment.
In
Edisons words to promote
an artist based on celebrity
constituted "fakery in
music".
It was unfortunate for his
record label that Edison (a
deaf
and
musically
untrained person) made the
final judgments on recording artists. This would be a
negative company business
policy and one of the reasons Edison started to lose

market share in the early

1900s to his rival the Victor
Talking Machine Company.
However, in 1910 Edison
made an exception in
accepting music he personally disliked such as the
blues or jazz that Sophie
Tucker (January 13, 1886 -February 9, 1966) had
become known for. Tucker
was a young, spicy vaudeville entertainer and female
white jazz singer. During
this period the Edison
Recording Company was
conducting a marketing
campaign to attract new
artists by paying a thousand
dollars for ten records to
singers who already had a
popular following. Tucker
was already a successful
stage performer but she saw
both money and greater
fame if she also became a

voice that was heard on

phonograph records. After
visiting the West Orange
recording studio, she made
her first demo recording of
"The Lovin' Rag". The studio was happy with her first
recording and asked her to
record another cylinder
record and so she sang "That
Lovin' Two-Step Man.
Sophie Tucker was a savvy
business woman and knew
those two records had to
sell. She did the equivalent
of a 1910 Twitter blast and
sent off post cards to everyone she knew in her address
book, all over the country,
telling them about her
records and urging them to
buy them. Her address book
in 1910 was a network of
over 2,000 names.
In
Tuckers own words I felt I
must prove my worth to the

Recording Company. I had

the two hundred dollars for
the first two records safely
put into a postal money
order and I was holding on
to this like grim death until I
could collect the eight hundred dollars balance.
Sophie Tucker was given a
contract for the eight
remaining records. Thomas
Edison helped launch the
recording career of The
Last of the Red Hot Mamas
that Tucker referred herself
as. The Thomas Edison
Company saw her talent not
in her tune but in her
naughty girl narrative talksinging style that parallels
todays hip-hop. She was
billed as a comedienne for
making phonograph users
LOL. Sophie Tuckers
quotes are such hot classics
they are still getting laughs

today.

Global Movement Underway To Heal, Strengthen

Families and Communities

by Cheryl Conway
upport groups for families, and children, facing
issues are growing in the area as fast as the green
grass and flower buds this spring.
Family Alliance Foundation is a new nonprofit corporation in New Jersey with a legacy that is expanding and
support groups forming throughout the area, with divisions and chapters soon to be spreading throughout the
world.
The goal of the alliance is to serve as advocates for
those facing issues and provide solutions whether through
support groups or steering them in the direction for help
and change. The organization is launching its global
movement to heal and strengthen families and communities.
Our world is in crisis, say the founders of the
alliance. Families are divided, divorced and in need of
healing. Our children are in need of compassion, empathy
and resources to make them whole. We are advocates who
provide solutions through programs that include education, inspiration and motivation. We collaborate with
other entities who provide food, shelter, clothing and other
resources that help people move from survive to
thrive.
Established in Nov. 2014, the foundations purpose is
to educate and inspire families to grow mentally, physi-

cally, financially and spiritually and have them leave a

legacy for all future generations to come, as stated on the
website.
To implement their vision, Dr. Ted Fattoross, Dr. Debra
Brooks and Ginny Gutierrez have partnered to create the
foundation, bringing their knowledge of speaking, counseling and marketing.
We all know someone whose family is in crisis, they
say. The breakdown of our society and the fundamental
reason our systems are broken, is the breakdown of our
families.
Whether it involves family issues, divorce issues,
alienation, bullying, We will become the support group,
says Fattoross, chief executive officer and founder of the
Family Alliance Foundation.
As parents and grandparents, each of us is charged
with the mission of raising our children to do good in the
world, organizers say. Today, as we look to our own
community, there is a need to heal and strengthen our families, as the core of a strong society are strong families.
We will be having legs, says Fattoross. We arent
stationary or stagnant. The foundation has created a
Legacy program, another division with chapters around
the world, including most recent chapters being formed in
Morristown and Denville.
Through Legacy we will have events or support

groups at various locations like Panera Bread or local

libraries. There will be resources for websites steering
where to turn for help, as well as online support groups.
We have an army of people signing up to volunteer for
these groups, he says. With some form of counseling
background or expertise, Fattoross is looking for volunteers he will train to start a support group.
We want leaders of chapters of Family Alliance
Foundation all around the world, says Fattoross, a wellknown international keynote speaker, seminar leader,
coach and consultant. Lets say you are traveling, you
can go to a facilitator there and get similar support.
Support group topics will cover many areas such as:
family related issues like relationships, stress, values,
ethics and parenting; parental and grandparent alienation;
sensitivity training and tolerance for anyone involved with
children, from caretakers, police officers to judges; antibullying; character education; teen pregnancy; domestic
violence and domestic silence; conflict resolution and peer
mediation; career direction and job readiness; stress and
change management.
There are three initiatives of the foundation: family
relationships- to educate and inspire families to grow
mentally, physically, financially, spiritually and abundantly; parental alienation- to create awareness, then educate,

and eliminate this cancer to society; and
Judicial, government, legal and law
enforcement - to form an alliance with the
"systems" that are charged with the
responsibility to manage our children and
families, to collaborate through programs
as a means to foster a deeper sensitivity to
the needs of everyone while always having
the best interest of the children in mind.
Many issues faced by children, such as
anti-bullying and suicide, can be reduced if
they had the proper role models at home,
says Fattoross.
If the children dont find the heroes at
the dinner table, they will find them in the
street, he says. It all starts in the home.
No child was ever born a bully.
Children, they might do as we say,
they might do as we do, says Fattoross.
A hero is not a dad who makes a million
dollars. A hero is a dad or a mom who
gave up their scholarships so they can be
home with their mother who has cancer, so
they ended up flipping burgers rather than
going to NYU.

Its not how much gold we leave our

children thats important; its how little
baggage we pass on to them that truly matters, says Fattoross, 57, father of three
kids who calls himself a recovering
work-a-holic.
Noted as having the worlds record of
the largest number of speaking presentations, Fattoross spends a great deal of time
discussing the issues and delivering motivational speeches to various audiences
from schools to prisons, corporations and
even homeless shelters.
He has spent the last 25 years presenting 8,500 speaking presentations throughout the world, inspiring more than 250,000
people each year to be the best they can
be. He has covered 2,000 topics from
character education, values and ethics,
anti-bullying programs, leadership and
teamwork; featured on national television,
radio programs and newspapers; and
served on the advisory boards of Fortune
500 companies, government, non-profit
and educational agencies.

Fattoross decided it was time to pay this

forward. He joined forces with Dr. Debra

counselor dealing with issues from teen
pregnancy, family, divorce and separation;
as well as Ginny Gutierrez, foundation
president, who specializes in marketing
