Guard inspection.
Once the drive has been disconnected from power supply and tagged, and the machine components are in safe
position, remove the guard and begin inspection.
1. Guard inspection
Check guards for wear or possible damage. Look for
signs of wear or rubbing against drive components. Clean
them to prevent their becoming insulated and closed to
ventilation. Clean off any grease or oil that may have
been spilled onto the guard from over-lubricated bearings.
2. Belt inspection
