This inductive RPM sensor is suitable for all electronic
ignition systems, doesn't matter if 1 cylinder or 2 cylinder Boxer ignitions. The sensor for the TSC speed governor simplifies installation and implementing of the TCS significantly.
Therefore the sensor should not be fixed during the first
step. It should be holded to the top of the ignition box while the engine is running. If the RPM is detected the red center LED of the sensor stays permanently on, otherwise it only flashes for a short time.
The principle of RPM detection is easy as well as clever:
the sensor must be sticked to the case of the ignition box itself with double-sided cellotape which is included in delivery.
When the sensor is moved over the surface of the ignition
box, the luminosity of the LED changes. When the LED has the brightest luminosity the optimal position is found. The sensor must be sticked exactly to that position.
Inductive RPM sensor
for the TSC system
If the ignition switch of the TSC is not in use (respectively
no battery is connected to the "Bat. In") the external RPM sensor has no supply voltage. In that case the supply voltage must be received from the TSC (see Operating Instructions TSC or picture above).
? Inductive RPM sensor for contact-free RPM detection
? Easy mounting (must be sticked to the ignition box) ? No modification of the installed ignition system ? Suitable for 1 cylinder and 2 cylinder Boxer ignitions
The RPM will be detected completely contact-free. You
don't have to interrupt cables, fix magnets or mount sensor elements to the engine. The connection cable (50 cm / 20") of the sensor must be plugged into the sensor input of the TSC. An integrated LED shows with its luminosity the optimal position where to stick the sensor to the ignition box.
