Introduction
1. INTRODUCTION
The Inforce IFC946X delivers unprecedented embedded computer features in an extremely power
efficient, low-profile Pico-ITX platform. Powered by the Intel Atom Processor E6xx, the IFC946X is
packed with crucial features that solve todays design challenges for connectivity, user interface, storage
and size. These features make the platform ideal for demanding applications including point-of-sale
terminals, digital signage, kiosks and other all-in-one (AIO) system solutions that require reliable
operation in difficult environments.

2.1.2 PROCESSOR
IFC946X includes a Tunnel Creek - Intel Atom E6xx and can support SKUs 600MHz, 1GHz 1.3GHz and
1.6 GHz. processor. The processor is soldered to the Board and is not field-upgradeable..
NOTE
The board is designed to be passively cooled in a properly ventilated chassis. Chassis venting
locations are recommended above the processor heatsink area for maximum heat dissipation
effectiveness. The final colling requirement of the board will depend on the In-system temperatures
and accordingly a cooling solution has to be designed.
