ABSTRAK

Pada era globalisasi seperti sekarang ini, perkembangan di segala aspek kehidupan
semakin pesat, terutama di bidang Sistem Informasi Geografis atau SIG. Dalam
penggunaannya, Sistem Informasi Geografis dapat digunakan untuk membantu
pemerintah ataupun individual dalam mengambil keputusan terbaik atau mencari
solusi untuk masalah tertentu yang erat kaitannya dengan obyek-obyek di
permukaan bumi. Karena kemudahan dalam pengelolaan dan penggunaannya,
SIG banyak digunakan diberbagai bidang. Kebutuhan informasi bagi masyarakat
atau pemerintah kabupaten Alor dalam mendapatkan informasi geografis
khususnya dalam mencari wilayah desa berpotensi penghasilan yang bersumber
dari pertanian, perkebunan, kehutanan, perikanan,pertambangan dan Pariwisata
semakin meningkat. Pada penyusunan skripsi ini penulis merancang dan membuat
Sistem Informasi Geografis Ekonomi Desa dan Pariwisata untuk wilayah
kabupaten Alor berdasarkan data yang penulis dapat dari dinas Badan Pusat
Statistik Kabupaten Alor, profil desa-desa dan Pariwisata. Dengan memanfaatkan
sistem informasi Geografis ini diharapkan dapat membantu Dinas Badan Pusat
Statistik dan Desa-desa untuk dapat memberikan informasi ekonomi desa yang
ada di desa atau keluarahan di Kabupaten Alor kepada pengguna baik instansi
pemerintah ataupun masyarakat dengan data yang cepat dan efisien serta
memberikan informasi gambaran desa-desa dan Pariwisata di kabupaten Alor
melalui pemetaan yang dibuat.

Kata kunci : Sistem Informasi Geografis, Ekonomi Desa dan pariwisata, Badan
Pusat Statistik.

ABSTRACT
At globalization era like this time, growth in all life aspects is getting fast,
especially in Geographic Information System or GIS. In its use, Information
System Geographic is applicable to assist the government or individual to take
best decision or look for the solution to the certain problem which concern the
earth surface. Because of easily in processing and using it, GIS is used in many
fields. Requirement of information for society or government in Alor subprovince in getting the geographical information specially in looking for village
region that have the production potencies from agriculture, plantation, forestry,
mining, fishery and tourism is getting increase. In this scription, the writer
designed and made the Information System Geografis village Economic and
Tourism for the region of Alor sub-province based on the data that writer got from
the Alor Statistic Center Agency, villages profile and Tourism. By using this
Geographic Information System is expected can assist Alor Statistic Center
Agency and villages to be able to give the village economic potencies information
in the village of Alor sub-province to the user in government institution or society
with rapid data and efficient and also give the description of village information
and tourism in Alor sub-province by the map that has been created.
