MK ADVENTURE 2015

PTM is pleased to announce the details of the PTM MK ADVENTURE 2015.

HISTORY:
Since 2002, PTM has held youth camps at various locations in Georgia under the banner
PTMs BASIC TRAINING YOUTH CAMPS. In 2010, PTM combined its camp efforts
with the Northeast Georgia Youth Camp and the POWEROF2YOUTHCAMP was born.
Each year, PTM raises funds so we can offer the camp week to the children of active
missionary families free of charge. In addition, PTM treats the MKs to special activities
around the camp weeks along with housing, meals and laundry. Some MKs are offered
travel assistance with PTM purchasing airline tickets and /or providing other means of
transportation to and from camp (as funds are available). It is a great honor to be able to
serve the Missionary by being kind to their children.
This program is made possible by several churches, businesses and individuals that give
sacrificially to cover the cost of the MK PROGRAM. The program success and
availability depends on the generosity of these donors.
2015 PROGRAM:
Again this year, PTM is offering MKs the opportunity to attend camp free of charge with a chance to extend their stay over 2 weeks. PTM will provide housing, meals and
laundry for the MKs along with a special treat a trip to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge,
TN . The PTM MK offer is for ages 12 to 19 (*see Junior Camper info below). MKs
MUST attend CAMP to be able to participate in the Pigeon Forge Activities. (All
activities are based on funds availability.)
The POWEROFTWOYOUTHCAMP will be holding a Junior Camp this year, 6/29-7/1.
This opens two new opportunities for the MKs. (1) We can accommodate the younger
MKs ages 7-12 at Junior Camp and (2) we can use older MKs as volunteer workers.
*Junior Campers are eligible to go to Pigeon Forge. Parents can make arrangements to
pick up Juniors on Friday night or Saturday Morning. Younger Campers cannot stay
during teen week because of lack of available supervision. Discuss exceptions with
Bro.Moore.
All offers are based on first come first served and funds availability.

HOW CAN MY MK PARTICIPATE?

PTM cannot guarantee spots due to fund limitations all is first come first serve. The
MKs can select to participate in as much of the 2015 program as they like. The only
restriction is that the MK must attend at least one week of camp to be able to attend the
Dollywood activities. We are hoping that many will choose to participate in the entire
program.
You need to complete the APPLICATION, CONSENT AND RELEASE. The release is
generic for the entire program and includes sections for those under 18 (Minor) and 18
and over (Adult). A separate sheet is included to advise PTM which weeks/weekends
the MK will be participating in. Return the paperwork as soon as possible. Please email
(mooreduane@earthlink.net) or call PTM and let us know your participation, which
would be helpful and get your child in the line for a roster spot.
Once the paperwork is received, an acceptance package will be emailed to you with
packing and other details.
I need your paperwork by June 15th - An earlier call would be a blessing.

TRANSPORTATION
PTM will be glad to work with individual families if the MK needs to arrive earlier than
this itinerary and/or if they need to stay extra days.
Funds are limited this year, and PTM cannot generically offer airfare assistance. We will
however cover all the cost associated with your transportation, lodging and food while
you are with us. Let us know of any special transportation needs and if funds do become
available, we may be able to help.

LONG TERM GOALS

PTM is working to expand the MK program each year. Our long term goal is to
formalize the program and raise monthly support to facilitate the program. PTM plans to
develop a MK CAMP where the MKs can fellowship with others that have a similar
situation. Eventually we hope to offer Mission Travel assistance too, enabling MKs to
visit other fields by participating in PTM youth mission trips.
