Introduction
History
At its early stage, LSF Technology Sdn Bhd only involved in dies making. Throughout the years,
they are becoming one of the biggest die making company and now they are not only making die
but they also involved in metal stamping and steel fabricating. Now, they are one of the trusted
die vendors for well-known companies such as PERODUA, PROTON, MIYAZU, TOYOTA
AUTO BODY AND ISUZU. Furthermore, their facilities incorporate a comprehensive in-house
design and engineering department to aid in expedited deliveries to market.
Structural of main activity
LSF Technology is a one of the biggest automotive dies making vendor in Malaysia and they
have very good connections with automotive company from other countries such as Korea. There
are two main sections in LSF Technology.

i. Adaptation and adjustment to the industry
On 30th June 2014, I was reporting in for my industrial training at LSF Technology Sdn
Bhd located at Lot 5747, Kidamai industrial Park, Bukit Angkat, 43000 Kajang, Selangor
Darul Ehsan.There are 12 weeks to complete my industrial training and I have to work 6
days in a week. The working hour starts at 8.00 am and end at 5.30 pm. It is necessary for
me to adapt myself with the environment here as it was the first time I have been in the
working environment. Few things I have learned during the training are:
i) Accomplish work within given period task given must be finished on time as
scheduled. As an example, any task discussed during the meeting with customers
must be updated as often as it should in order to ensure the task can be completed on
time. Delay of the work exceed the period given always leaves negatives impact to
organization such as lose customers.
ii) Proactive be brave to ask for something we do not know how to do it, and never
too ego to learn something new. Sometimes it is unnecessary to be told do so but be
proactively tried to do or solve the problem by discussing it with others. We must be
hard working on carrying our responsibility during work.
iii) Communication skill the way of communication with the manager or supervisor or
the director is not the same as we communicate to other normal staff. And we must
know how to communicate properly with the elders or seniors staffs. This is one of
the important elements to adapt in working environment.
iv) Teamwork very important in deciding and solving a problem. As many brains
coupling and exchanging ideas as greatly result would be attained. For example
during this practical training, I was given a simple task which was making checking

fixture (CF) for a small part of car parts. It took two days to finish it with helps from
others practical students and without them, it might took more than two days.
v) Respects to other people an important element in order to build up a harmony
organization and create peacefully working environment. We must respect others
opinions by listening when they explain it and if we disagree with their opinions, use
a proper way to express it. We must never look down on lower grade workers
opinion. Best leader always try to help and understand them and try to improve and
solve their problem.
vi) Punctuality be punctual as it describes what kind of person we are. Not only it
gives bad impacts to ourselves but the company or the organization we are working
with will also get the impacts. Task will be delayed and the schedule planned will
change. Then customers must be told about the delay and it will affect both parties.
Therefore the punctuality would increase the quality of overall work and services.
These are the valuable experiences I have gained during my industrial training which is very
useful to me. One thing that made me realizes is teamwork is the secret of a successful company.
As experts said, two heads are better than one.
ii. Practice Of Occupational Safety And Health Environment
Here at LSF Technology Sdn Bhd, safety of workers is emphasized. These are the safety
equipment that each one of the workers must have and wear whenever they want to enter the
manufacturing and machining site.

Safety boot - to protect leg from any impacting weight; sharpen material, twisting and
etc.
ii.
Safety helmet - to protect head from impact of weight and other possible causes.

Gloves and hand socks - to protect hands from harmful objects and chips during
machining or welding process
v.
Safety board and symbols applied to give awareness to people about dangerous
element at that place.
Industrial Experience

During my industrial training, I have learnt and done many things in this company. Since my first
day of training until the end of my training, I learned how to work with other people. I applied all
my knowledge during study in UiTM to accomplish the tasks given. As I was going to complete
my 12 weeks of industrial training, I have been placed under Special Project Department under
supervision of Puan Shazmira. The first task for me is to get and learn the technical skills on the
die maintenance site at Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Berhad (PROTON) located at Shah Alam
for one month.
Technical skills
At PROTON, there are few technical skills I have learned under die maintenance process. There
are few highly skilled technicians who are assigned for the die maintenance works. These
technicians are supervised by a project engineer which is Mr Fitri. He is the intermediary
between the LSF Technology and the PROTON representatives. Any discussions, meetings or
any report from the PROTON will need to go through him first before the matter is bring up to
the project director. Among the maintenance works being done at PROTON are welding,
grinding, die spotting and polishing. These are the required processes for die maintenance when
there are trouble occurs.
