The New Bionics That Let Us Run, Climb and Dance

The contemporary world is now at very high technology that even every single living with
disability turns to be useful human in the world because of the bionics which is the study of
biological function and mechanics, and their application to machine design. Hugh Herr is the
human and a machine in his limbs testifies that the bionics is very helpful to those human
disables to the whole world. He explains the attachments of electro mechanics to his body or
implanted inside the body. Because of the accidents from frost bite occurred during a mountain
climbing, he become part of the persons bionic which makes him different from human beings.
He realized that the artificial part of his body is soft, flexible, impressionable, and able to take
any form, any function, and a blank state which create structure that could extend beyond
biological capabilities. His height is adjustable because it is made by metal and design to assured
him fight feeders tall and other activity. He cannot feel pains and muscle fatigues because of
technological innovations. Its allowed him new climbing powers that are limited to human
powers. The MIT media lab stablished the center for extreme bionics, which mission is to put
forth fundamental science and technological capabilities which designed his bionic limbs
attached to his body. It is attached to his biological body via synthetics skin with stiffness
variation that mere to his underlying tissue biomechanics exoskeleton to protect biological joints
from high impact. The MIT media lab also conducts experiments and studies on how muscles are
controlled by the spinal cord and the brain. Based on his statement Machines attached to our
bodies will make us stronger, faster, and more efficient, moving on to electrical interface, across
to residual limbs or electrodes that measures electrical pulse on my muscles that communicated
to my bionic limb so when I think about moving my phantom limb, the root tracts as moment
desires. In his quoted statement, it says that everything he thinks can affect the systems in his
body because of the electrical impulses sent to the bionic limbs. It makes him feels like it is flesh
and bone. Bionics makes the differences from human capabilities and characteristics though it
has limitations. It makes a better job to those disabled people and who suffers severe injuries
sitting in the wheelchair and nothing to do with. Basic level of physiological function should be a
part of human rights because every person should have to live life without disability. Like the

Robocop movie which is nearly related to Hugh Herr bionic limbs. There are some exaggerated
events in the Robocop movie like Nervous, Respiratory and Circulatory system are only running
to his body. But if we extend our human knowledge, its not impossible that all of those things
may happen in real life although some concepts are realistic in the movie. It portrays the
importance of bionics to the military army to the US country and to be there for your love ones
despite of disability. It also makes us realize that disable people is not hindrance but instead
beneficial and effective compatriot. As what Hugh Herr said A person can never be broken. Our
built environment, our technologies are broken and disabled. We the people accept our
limitations but can outdistance disability, through technical innovation. So we can run, climb
and dance through new bionics, a new stepping world.
