Hi,
I have an Alcatel Omnipcx System and am getting an AIS LED Alarm?
I looked in the Installation Manual and got
AIS (SIA2M) AIS Too many "1"s in the 2megabit binary train (red LED lit if alarm)
We think our ISDN 30 lines may be down our provider cannot determine this without coming out and possible a call out charge.
On the handsets we get the following error
TrGp 9 unobt
Any ideas??

It seems a provider problem. Generally here in Brazil when you has this kind of alarm the problem is not from OXO.

Check your cables and later talk to the provider. As Giovanni said it musn't be on OXO.

At first this is first start for T2 or this port works before?

usualy in normal operation when you have AIS problem between modems (MUX...) or another transmission equipment for E1 port.

This morning we had the same error code TrGp9 Unobt displayed on the handsets. Not able to call out or receive calls in. No
alarms on the OXO however.
Provider asked if there was any work going on inside or outside the building or if neighbours had any problems. No to all of these.
After about 10 minutes all was recovered with no intervention from anyone and supplier said they may never find the reason.
Would the error code not be a clue to them? It must mean something

AIS, RAI, NOS

From my point of view.
Usually we have connection like this PSTN/operator_PBXmodem1modem2End_user_PBX.
Modem any xDSL, SDH ... some equipments between PBX.
NOS not working modem or absent connection (no signal on PBX Rx).
RAI opposite PBX have no signal/ wrong signal from your PBX
AIS some problem between modem1 and modem2 equipments (check cables, alarms, log on the modem)

I agree. AIS is in most cases a provider problem.

when a LOS is present to a multyplexer then the other multyplexers will sent AIS to the rest of the cirquit. is provider problem.
