Typical food from Boyac-Colombia

(cocido boyacense)

The present work presents a sample of one typical meals of Boyac-Colombia;


Boyac is a region with high food production nationwide, resulting in a wide variety
of products. We choose our department because the food is delicious and there
are several dishes for choosing. We chose this meal: baked boyacense because it
is the representation of our department and is a very rich food.

Ingredients:

- 2 cups green split peas


- flesh (1 pound)
-chicken (1 pound)
- Havas (1/2 pound)
-Beans (1 pound)
- 2 cups green peas
- 2 Yucca
-1 cob of corn
- Potatoes (2 pounds)
-8 cups water or vegetable broth
-3 cubes of vegetable broth
-2 stalks celery, chopped (optional)
-2 carrots, sliced
-1 onion, diced
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 teaspoon cumin
-1 tsp thyme
-3 bay leaves
-salt and pepper to taste

Process of preparation.

Place In a pot the oil, onions, herbs and seasonings is introduced and allowed to

What did you learn as a group about this activity?

The developing group activity is very complex, but we selected this typical food of
our region. I consider that the activities should be planned with more time to
develop properly.
