DE CAMPAMENTOS
INTERNACIONALES 2015

AMVIAC

La Asociacin Mexicana de Voluntariado Internacional A.C. participa en la transformacin

del pas a travs de la integracin del Voluntariado Internacional en proyectos organizados
en Mxico por asociaciones civiles, ayuntamientos, comunidades y grupos organizados, as
como con el envo de mexicanos a proyectos en el extranjero con la idea de que con esta
experiencia puedan, al regreso al pas, involucrarse de una forma ms activa en el
quehacer de su comunidad.

ENVO DE VOLUNTARIOS AL EXTRANJERO

Viajar a otro pas y conocer nuevas personas, lugares y costumbres es para muchos mexicanos
uno de los sueos ms importantes. Participar en proyecto de inters general y benfico para una
comunidad es otra de las grandes satisfacciones de la gente. El voluntariado internacional se
trata de una experiencia que ofrece una inigualable visin sobre la pluralidad, incrementa la
tolerancia a la diversidad y abre perspectivas de vida y la mente a nuevas posibilidades.
AMVIAC enva a jvenes a partir de 15 aos a proyectos en ms de 20 pases en todas las
regiones del mundo a campamentos de voluntariado internacional. Estos son organizados
por asociaciones, municipios, grupos locales en otros pases en todas las regiones del
mundo llamados campamentos de voluntariado internacional.

QUIN PUEDE PARTICIPAR?

1) Adolescentes: De 15 a 17 aos de edad. Se requiere una autorizacin parental y entrevista con
los padres.
2) Adultos jvenes: De 18 aos en adelante.
3) Adultos mayores: De 50 aos en adelante.
4) Familias: Padres y madres con hasta con dos hijos de 8 a 11 aos de edad solicitar informes.
5) Cualquier persona con de alguna forma de discapacidad puede participar siempre y cuando
pueda ser autnomo y previa autorizacin de la asociacin que organice el campamento.

CMO PARTICIPAR?

1) Selecciona uno o ms campamentos internacionales presentados en este programa o que aparece en

nuestra pgina web (Lo sentimos, esta est todava en construccin).
2) Llena el formulario de inscripcin que puedes telecargar en la siguiente pgina de Internet

contact.amviac@gmail.com . Puedes solicitarla tambin por correo electrnico o por telfono.
3) Cubre tu membresa anual de $100 pesos y la cuota de inscripcin de $1,500 pesos. En algunos
proyectos, particularmente en frica, Asia y Amrica Latina, hay una cuota de participacin a
cubrir a la asociacin anfitriona del proyecto. En cada descriptivo est indicado el monto de
esta cuota. Enva tu recibo de pago a AMVIAC a contact.amviac@gmail.com. Si deseas cubrir
tus cuotas en dos o tres pagos, es posible.
4) Una vez recibido tu formulario de inscripcin procederemos a solicitar un lugar en el proyecto
seleccionado. Te sugerimos seleccionar dos o ms proyectos en caso de que tu primera opcin ya est
completa. Te enviaremos la confirmacin por correo electrnico en un plazo mximo de 2 a 3 das.
5) Puedes empezar a realizar los trmites de tu viaje una vez que tu lugar haya sido confirmado.
6) Algunas semanas antes del empiezo de tu campamento te enviaremos tu Hoja Gua, que es un
documento con todos los detalles de tu proyecto y en la que se te indica cmo llegar al lugar de tu
proyecto o a un punto de encuentro, las condiciones de alojamiento, ms detalles sobre la tareas a
realizar, las condiciones climticas, etc., cuota de participacin, etc.
Nota1: El costo del viaje ida y vuelta y tus gastos personales y seguro corren por tu cuenta. Durante el
proyecto tendrs alimentacin y hospedaje.
Nota2: Asegrate que tu presupuesto te alcanzar para cubrir los costos para participar en algn
proyecto en otro pas y no dudes en solicitar por todos lados y a cuanta persona conozcas apoyo para tu
participacin en un voluntariado internacional en el extranjero.

Nota sobre las cuotas de participacin: AMVIAC y sus socios en Mxico no obtienen financiamiento
del gobierno o de ninguna otra institucin. Las cuotas solicitadas a los voluntarios cubren esencialmente
el alojamiento y la comida. En algunas ocasiones el anfitrin del proyecto u organizador aporta el
alojamiento pero siempre hay gastos relacionados a la estancia de los voluntarios. Una parte de tu cuota
sirve para cubrir gastos de gestin, preparacin y evaluacin de los campamentos.

FESTIVAL/ARTE

PROYECTO: Por tercer ao consecutivo de lleva a cabo

en Cuautla la Fiesta de la Msica (Fte de la Musique)
evocando la traditional fiesta de la Msica francesa la
cual se organiza cada 21 de junio en ms de 90 pases.
En colaboracin con la Direccin de Turismo, la
Regidura de Turismo y Proteccin Ambiental, la Casa
de la Cultura de Cuautla y varias instituciones estatales
y locales, se realizar este festival el cual tiene como
objetivo crear un espacio en el que la poblacin pueda disfrutar de varias corrientes
musicales desde el rock hasta la trova pasando por la msica clsica
e internacional como la Capoeira y la Irlansdesa.
TRABAJO: Conjuntamente con el equipo de la Direccin de Turismo
municipal los voluntarios participarn en la preparacin del evento
dndole promocin en las escuelas, clubes sociales, instituciones
culturales as como en otros municipios. Tambin apoyarn en la
preparacin de los escenarios, recepcin de los grupos, apoyo en la
puesta de aparatos electrnicos, informacin a los asistentes, entre
otras tareas. Despus del evento, los voluntarios ayudarn en las
tareas de desmontaje de los escenrios. El grupo de voluntarios
tendr la oportunidad de tocar en el festival integrando el elemento
internacional al evento.
LUGAR: Cuautla se encuentra a dos horas de la ciudad de Mxico
ALOJAMIENTO: en una casa adaptada para recibir al grupo de voluntarios. Las
condiciones de vida son bsicas.
REQUERIMIENTOS : Inters en las temticas de la msica y los festivales.
CUOTA DE PARTICIPACIN: $3,000 pesos, incluye inscripcin, alojamiento y

AGRICULTURA ORGNICA

PROYECTO: El Centro Solidario Tsomanotik (CST) es un

centro agroecolgico en Chiapas que trabaja con la
conviccin y finalidad de ayudar a la construccin de un
mundo sustentable, justo y solidario mediante: Proyectos
Interculturales con personas de diferentes partes del
mundo, Proyectos Productivos, Agroecolgicos en favor de
la sustentabilidad, Proyectos Educativos con la comunidad
local, Proyectos Solidarios que favorezcan el desarrollo
local comunitario.
TRABAJO: Los Voluntarios participarn en la construccin de un invernadero
demostrativo para el espacio de aprendizaje en soberana alimentaria. Aprendern el
funcionamiento de un invernadero orgnico y sus ventajas, el diseo y construccin de un
modelo de invernadero de implementacin comunitaria, la construccin de un invernadero
demostrativo para el espacio de aprendizaje del CST. Adems los voluntarios prepararn
el suelo del invernadero para sembrar, acondicionarn el terreno alrededor del
invernadero, sembrarn y trasplantarn las plantas
que crecern en este. Los participantes compartirn
dinmicas de introduccin y participarn en talleres
de aprendizaje de tcnicas y metodologas que les
apoyarn para las construcciones en el proyecto.
LUGAR: Tzimol se encuentra a 15 minutos de
Comitn en el estado de Chiapas.
ALOJAMIENTO: En las instalaciones del centro de
desarrollo Tsomanotik, en recmaras de 4 a 6 personas,
en literas individuales, con un bao por cada recmara.
REQUERIMIENTOS: Inters en las temticas del
desarrollo sustentable

PROYECTO: Xochimilco es una zona declarada Zona

de Monumentos Histricos y Patrimonio Mundial de la
Humanidad al que se le reconoce su importancia
cultural, patrimonial y ambiental debido a la
existencia de muchos inmuebles que datan de la
poca colonial y adems mantiene vestigios de los
acuferos y lagos de la poca prehispnica y colonial.
Su sistema de canales y chinampas es un ejemplo de
produccin agrcola nico en su tipo en el mundo. En
colaboracin con la asociacin Trofeo a la Vida A.C. y la agrupacin de trajineros de
Xochimilco se realizarn acciones de mejoramiento de diversos espacios de este lugar.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios realizarn conjuntamente con trabajadores locales y
miembros de diversas agrupaciones de Xochimilco, tareas de poda de rboles, colocacin y
pintura de sealamientos, limpieza de canales, y otros trabajos. As mismo los voluntarios
realizarn entrevistas de turistas para poder compilar informacin para poder mejorar las
condiciones de este lugar. Los voluntarios tendrn la oportunidad de descubrir el
patrimonio intangible de esta poblacin y sitio cultural icnico de Mxico as como
prcticas agrcolas ancestrales.
LOCALIDAD: Xochimilco se encuentra en el sur de la ciudad de Mxico.
ALOJAMIENTO: Los voluntarios sern alojados en una casa en la comunidad.
TERMINAL: Aeropuerto internacional de la Ciudad de Mxico.
REQUERIMIENTOS: Inters en las temticas del Patrimonio Mundial y el Medio
Ambiente.

BIO-CONSTRUCCIN

PROYECTO: El Centro Solidario Tsomanotik (CST)

Adems aprendern tcnicas bsicas de bio-construccin y sus aplicaciones, conocern las
ventajas de utilizar bio-construcciones y los
distintos tipos de stas, conocern los
distintos tipos de arcillas y tierras, y sus
respectivos usos. extraern, mezclarn y
prepararn los materiales de las bioconstrucciones. Los voluntarios compartirn
dinmicas grupales y participarn en talleres
de aprendizaje de tcnicas y metodologas que
les apoyarn para las construcciones en el
proyecto.
LUGAR: Tzimol se encuentra a 15 minutos de Comitn en el estado de Chiapas.
ALOJAMIENTO: En las instalaciones del centro
de desarrollo Tsomanotik, en recmaras de 4 a 6

PROYECTO: Este sitio es un ejemplo bien

conservado de un centro poltico, religioso y
comercial fortificado de la poca turbulenta de
650-900 que sigui a la desintegracin de los
grandes
estados
mesoamericanos
como
Teotihuacn, Monte Albn, Palenque y Tikal. El
proyecto tiene como objetivo llegar a ms
jvenes en las comunidades locales, en
particular, invitndoles a formar un grupo de
jvenes Guardianes del Patrimonio y as
aumentar su conciencia sobre la necesidad de proteger su patrimonio tangible o intangible.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios participarn en algunas tareas de renovacin en el lugar que
van desde las rutas de acceso a algunas de las paredes de la Acrpolis y jardinera cerca
de las pirmides. Un programa de verano de 3 das se
organizar en el sitio arqueolgico donde los nios de las
escuelas aledaas seguirn un programa de animacin y
sensibilizacin. Los participantes realizarn entrevistas a
los turistas acerca de sus impresiones sobre el sitio.
Realizarn tambin presentaciones del Patrimonio Mundial
y sus pases y regiones en las escuelas locales mediante el
uso de herramientas de educacin no formal.
ALOJAMIENTO: Los voluntarios sern alojados en una casa en la comunidad.
LOCALIDAD: Xochicalco se encuentra a 2 horas de la ciudad de Mxico.
TERMINAL: Aeropuerto internacional de la Ciudad
de Mxico.

PROYECTO: La Direccin de Turismo de Cuautla desea

mejorar la imagen de la antigua estacin del ferrocarril
de Cuautla en la que se encuentra el museo vivencial de
Cuautla y el Museo de la Independencia. Siendo uno de
los atractivos tursticos importantes de la ciudad, este
requiere de mantenimiento continuo.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios realizarn trabajos de
pintura de la fachada del edificio principal as como de la
oficina de Turismo municipal y una de las paredes principales del conjunto con el objetivo
de poner en valor esta patrimonio cultural de la ciudad de Cuautla. Adems los voluntarios
realizarn tareas de mejoramiento en el museo vivencial del ferrocarril y algunas reas
verdes. Los trabajos se complementarn con actividades
de sensibilizacin organizadas para y con la poblacin
local, en especial los nios y jvenes: talleres de
identificacin de los bienes patrimoniales de la
comunidad, visitas in situ del patrimonio de la ciudad,
presentacin del patrimonio de los pases y regiones de
donde sern los voluntarios a los estudiantes de
escuelas, instituciones culturales y educativas. Los
voluntarios podrn descubrir la Ruta de los Conventos, la
Ruta de las haciendas y otras atracciones tursticas
incluyendo a Agua Hedionda, balneario con las aguas
sulfatadas curativas de mayor balance mineral en el mundo .
LUGAR: Cuautla se encuentra a dos horas de la ciudad de Mxico.
ALOJAMIENTO: en una casa adaptada para recibir al grupo de voluntarios. Las
condiciones de vida son bsicas.
TERMINAL: Aeropuerto internacional de la
Ciudad de Mxico.
REQUERIMIENTOS : Inters en las
temticas del Patrimonio Cultural y la renovacin.

PROYECTO: El ex convento de la Inmaculada

Concepcin es uno de los 14 monasterios en las faldas
del volcn Popocatpetl, y se encuentra en excelente
estado de conservacin. El objetivo de este proyecto es
aumentar la visibilidad de este sitio con la poblacin
local y las autoridades municipales as como sensibilizar
a la poblacin a proteger su patrimonio.
TRABAJOS: Los voluntarios realizarn tareas de
limpieza y trabajos secundarios en el ex-convento y su huerta, as como en la ex hacienda
de San Fracisco Cuauhtepec, la cual ha tenido una relacin directa con el ex convento. Los
voluntarios participarn en talleres de cartonera, una tradicin local, con la que se
abordar el Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Realizarn tambin presentaciones sobre el
Patrimonio Mundial y sus pases durante el programa de
verano de la comunidad; las actividades de sensibilizacin con
los nios y los jvenes se centrarn en el patrimonio
intangible local. Los voluntarios tendrn la posibilidad de
aprender tambin sobre los materiales y tcnicas de
construccin locales utilizados en la preparacin de morteros
para llenar las juntas en los edificios de este tipo de
construccin, as como la forma de preparar la pintura a la
cal ampliamente utilizada en la poca del siglo
XVI para la proteccin de los aplanados.
ALOJAMIENTO: En las instalaciones del DIF Municipal.
LOCALIDAD: Zacualpan de Amilpas es un hermoso poblado a 25 minutos de la ciudad de
Cuautla, Morelos.
OBSERVACIONES: Inters en la temtica del
Patrimonio Cultural.

incluye inscripcin, alimentacin y hospedaje.

PROYECTO: El ex convento de San Guillermo Abad es uno

de los 14 monasterios en la llamada Ruta de los Conventos
y se encuentra en un excelente estado de conservacin.
Por primera ocasin la comunidad de Totolapan ser
anfitrin de una campamento internacional y qu mejor
ocasin que el programa de Voluntarios del Patrimonio
Mundial.
TRABAJO: A fin de darle ms visibilidad a este sitio y sensibilizar a
la poblacin local a la importancia de proteger su patrimonio, los
voluntarios realizarn trabajos de limpieza y otras tareas
secundarias en el ex-convento, as como en las capillas de San Miguel
de Nepopualco y La Asuncin de Ahuatln bajo la supervisin del
Instituto Nacional de Antropologa e Historia de Morelos.
Realizarn tambin presentaciones sobre el Patrimonio Mundial y sus
pases durante el programa de verano de la comunidad; las
actividades de sensibilizacin con los nios y los jvenes se
centrarn en el patrimonio intangible local. Los voluntarios tendrn
la posibilidad de aprender sobre los materiales y tcnicas de
construccin locales utilizados en la preparacin de morteros para
rellenar las juntas en los edificios de este tipo de construccin, as
como la forma de preparar la pintura a la cal ampliamente utilizada
en la poca del siglo XVI para la proteccin de los aplanados.
ALOJAMIENTO: En una casa adaptada para los voluntarios con condiciones bsicas.
LOCALIDAD: Totolapan se localiza en la regin de Los Altos de Morelos a 20 minutos de
Cuautla.
OBSERVACIONES: Inters en la temtica del
Patrimonio Cultural.

PROYECTO: El Proyecto Cultural Tlaxcala genera un

espacio para los nios y jvenes que les permita el
reconocimiento propio y de su entorno a travs de la
cultura y el arte, con la participacin de los padres y
adultos en la formacin cultural de los nios y jvenes
en las diversas actividades organizadas o fomentadas
por el proyecto. Adems sirve como espacio para
complementar la formacin formal de los nios en
materias como espaol, matemticas e ingls.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios realizarn talleres y actividades artsticas, musicales,
lingsticas y de lectura y escritura dirigidas a nios de 6 a 13 aos y acompaadas de
actividades ldico-recreativas. Adems, los voluntarios trabajarn en la implementacin
de actividades que fortalezcan la autoestima, el trabajo en equipo, valores como el
respeto, comunidad, tolerancia, justicia y paz. Se procura que dentro de las dos semanas
del campamento, las actividades giren en torno a actividades ldicas y recreativas, y que
sea un espacio para desarrollar las aptitudes de los nios. Tambin se trabajar en la
preparacin de actividades que sern presentadas al finalizar el campamento. Se espera
que los voluntarios puedan traer ideas, juegos, canciones, fotos para compartir y
propuestas de actividades (msica, manualidades, idiomas, dibujo, pintura, etc.).
ALOJAMIENTO: En una casa adaptada para los voluntarios con condiciones bsicas.
LOCALIDAD: San Cristbal de las Casas, Chiapas
OBSERVACIONES: Inters en la temtica de la Educacin no formal, trabajo con nios y
arte.

PROYECTO: El ro Cuautla es abastecido por el manantial Los

Sabinos-Santa Rosa-San Cristbal, el cual es un rea Natural
Protegida y abastece de agua potable a 19 colonias del
municipio. A fin de proteger este patrimonio y promover la
conservacin del ecosistema, conservar su belleza natural,
regular el crecimiento urbano y la presin demogrfica que se
ejerce sobre la ribera del ro Cuautla y la
zona de manantiales, normar y racionalizar
las actividades productivas, as como proteger la zona de recarga de
mantos acuferos, son necesarias acciones en las que participen
todos los sectores de la poblacin de esta ciudad. Los objetivos de
este campamento de voluntariado es contribuir al mejoramiento de la
calidad de vida y del medio ambiente para los habitantes del ANP,
impulsar el desarrollo de acciones de recreacin y turismo, por los
escenarios paisajsticos de los manantiales, de su flora y fauna
silvestre, al constituir un atractivo para los habitantes de Cuautla y
Ayala, y desarrollar acciones de saneamiento integral del Ro
Cuautla.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios realizarn recorridos de esta ANP con la
finalidad de identificar la problemtica, participarn en la
produccin de plantas aromticas; realizarn trabajos de limpieza
del cauce y laderas del ro Cuautla; desarrollarn talleres de
sensibilizacin sobre manejo y cuidado del rea Natural Protegida;
participarn en el diseo de murales para el cuidado del rea
Natural Protegida; realizarn visitas a lugares histricos y culturales de la regin y
establecern intercambio de experiencias con pobladores para generar alternativas de
solucin a la problemtica ambiental.
LUGAR: Cuautla se encuentra a dos horas de la ciudad de Mxico.
ALOJAMIENTO: en una casa adaptada para recibir al grupo de voluntarios.

PROYECTO: El Proyecto Cultural Tlaxcala genera un

espacio para los nios y jvenes que les permita el
reconocimiento propio y de su entorno a travs de la
cultura y el arte, con la participacin de los padres y
adultos en la formacin cultural de los nios y jvenes
en las diversas actividades organizadas o fomentadas
por el proyecto. Adems sirve como espacio para
complementar la formacin formal de los nios en
materias como espaol, matemticas e ingls.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios realizarn talleres y actividades artsticas, musicales,
lingsticas y de lectura y escritura dirigidas a nios de 6 a 13 aos y acompaadas de
actividades ldico-recreativas. Adems, los voluntarios implementarn actividades que
fortalezcan la autoestima, el trabajo en equipo, valores como el respeto, comunidad,
tolerancia, justicia y paz. Se procura que dentro de las dos semanas del campamento, las
actividades giren en torno a actividades ldicas y recreativas, y que sea un espacio para
desarrollar las aptitudes de los nios. Tambin se trabajar en la preparacin de
actividades que sern presentadas al trmino del campamento, especialmente en el
Festival en donde se festejar el 2 Aniversario del proyecto el 14 de agosto. Se espera
que los voluntarios traigan ideas, juegos, canciones, fotos para compartir y propuestas de
actividades (msica, manualidades, idiomas, dibujo, pintura, etc.).
ALOJAMIENTO: En una casa adaptada para los voluntarios con condiciones bsicas.

PROYECTO: El Centro Solidario Tsomanotik (CST)

es un centro agroecolgico en Chiapas que trabaja
con la conviccin y finalidad de ayudar a la
construccin de un mundo sustentable, justo y
solidario mediante: Proyectos Interculturales con
personas de diferentes partes del mundo, Proyectos
Productivos, Agroecolgicos en favor de la
sustentabilidad, Proyectos Educativos con la
comunidad local, Proyectos Solidarios que favorezcan el desarrollo local comunitario.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios participarn en la edificacin de un aula de aprendizaje para el
diplomado en materia de soberana alimentaria que el Centro Solidario Tsomanotik
imparte a jvenes de comunidades de la regin, utilizando tcnicas de bio-construccin.
Adems aprendern tcnicas bsicas de bioconstruccin y sus aplicaciones, conocern las ventajas
de utilizar bio-construcciones y los distintos tipos de
stas, conocern los distintos tipos de arcillas y tierras,
y sus respectivos usos. extraern, mezclarn y
prepararn los materiales de las bio-construcciones. Los
voluntarios
compartirn
dinmicas
grupales
y
participarn en talleres de aprendizaje de tcnicas y
metodologas que les apoyarn para las construcciones
en el proyecto.
LUGAR: Tzimol se encuentra a 15 minutos de Comitn en el estado de Chiapas.

PROYECTO: Por octavo ao consecutivo se lleva a cabo el

programa de Voluntarios del Patrimonio Mundial en Mxico y
este ao se organizan 4 campamentos internacionales en el
estado de Morelos.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios realizarn trabajos de limpieza
varias reas del ex convento de San Mateo, as como en
algunos sitios patrimoniales vinculados al ex convento como es la antigua estacin del
ferrocarril y otros edificios en las comunidades de San Miguel Tlatetelco y San Juan
Texcalpa. En el mbito del desarrollo sustentable los voluntarios realizarn tareas en la
ciclova que se implementar en esta comunidad como un medio para preservar el medio
ambiente circundante el ex-convento. Los voluntarios realizarn tambin presentaciones
sobre el Patrimonio Mundial y sobre sus pases en escuelas locales; las actividades de
sensibilizacin con los nios y los jvenes se centrarn en el
patrimonio intangible local. Los voluntarios tendrn la posibilidad
de aprender sobre los materiales y tcnicas de construccin
locales utilizados en la preparacin de morteros para llenar las
juntas en los edificios de este tipo de construccin, as como la
forma de preparar la pintura a la cal ampliamente utilizada en la
poca del siglo XVI para la proteccin de los aplanados.

LUGAR: Atlatlahucan se encuentra a 16 km de la ciudad de Cuautla en el

estado de Morelos.

y Comunitario.

PROYECTO: La falta de empleo y migracin ha generado un

cambio social en la poblacin ms joven, en el cual el uso de
materiales para la construccin de sus casas, no son compatibles
ni para ellos, ni el ambiente, las invasiones, el cambio y uso del
suelo, la tala inmoderada, la caza furtiva, la introduccin de
especies exticas al ecosistema, la ganadera, los monocultivos, la
quema de basura, la contaminacin del agua, la extraccin de minerales, etc., han generado
un deterioro e impacto negativo a la Sierra Monte Negro.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios participarn en la identificacin de la problemtica ambiental
de la regin, se integrarn a los proyectos productivos, de conservacin y de restauracin,
impulsados por la Secretaria de Desarrollo Sustentable a travs de la Direccin General
de reas Naturales Protegidas, intercambiando experiencias con los
dueos y poseedores sobre el manejo de viveros forestales, apiarios,
produccin de plantas aromticas, estrategia de manejo del fuego,
lmites ambientales de las reas Naturales Protegidas,
reforestaciones, entre otros. Asimismo, se realizarn recorridos
para identificar ilcitos ambientales como la disposicin de basura a
cielo abierto, tala clandestina, cacera furtiva, cambios de uso de
suelo, involucrando a los ncleos agrarios y a las distintas instancias
de los tres niveles de gobierno.
LUGAR: Se localiza en la porcin Centro del Estado de Morelos en los municipios de
Emiliano Zapata, Tlaltizapn, Yautepec y Jiutepec.
ALOJAMIENTO: En una casa adaptada o en un saln comunal.

PROYECTO: El objetivo de este proyecto es apoyar a la poblacin

de esta comunidad en los preparativos y puesta en marcha de las
festividades anuales comunitarias las cuales integran al desfile de
la mojigangas, el cual transcurre el ltimo domingo de septiembre,
como parte de los festejos en honor de la Virgen del Rosario. Las
actividades se realizan en todo el pueblo y principalmente en el ex
convento de la Inmaculada Concepcin, uno de los 14 monasterios en las faldas del volcn
Popocatpetl, Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad.
TRABAJOS: Los voluntarios realizarn tareas de
trabajos de preparacin para las festividades locales,
pintado y encalado de los muros externos del conjunto
conventual y limpieza del atrio y jardn del exconvento,
as como la construccin y la colocacin del mural hecho
de semillas. Los voluntarios tendrn la oportunidad de
participar en trabajos de mejora del museo del
aguardiente y de la ex hacienda de Cuautepec.
ALOJAMIENTO: En las instalaciones del DIF Municipal. Con todos los servicios bsicos.
LOCALIDAD: Zacualpan de Amilpas es un hermoso poblado a 25 minutos de la ciudad de
Cuautla, Morelos.

PROYECTO: Mineral de Pozos es conocido como

pueblo fantasma, este lugar fue abandonado dos
veces desde su fundacin, actualmente tiene el
titulo de Pueblo Mgico y la comunidad busca el
rescate de sus viejas casonas, plazas, callejones,
haciendas y minas, para la preservacin del
patrimonio y el fomento del Turismo Cultural. En los alrededores encontramos los
vestigios centenarios de las minas y haciendas de beneficio recuerdan la riqueza de las
vetas argentferas y aurferas que se tuvo del siglo XVI al XIX. El estado de estas
haciendas y minas de gran valor histrico y patrimonial est muy deteriorado por el
abandono en el que se encontraron por muchos aos por lo que ahora es necesario hacer
trabajos de limpieza, remozamiento y adecuacin de espacios, para que estos puedan ser
disfrutados por la comunidad y sus visitantes.
TRABAJO: Los voluntarios apoyarn en los trabajos de limpieza, remozamiento y
adecuacin de espacios de las minas, haciendas. Realizarn actividades de vinculacin con
la comunidad y promovern la valoracin y rescate del patrimonio como un medio de
desarrollo sustentable. Habr una familiarizacin con la
sociedad de Mineral de Pozos, para la colaboracin en el
desarrollo e implementacin de tcnicas para la exploracin,
limpieza, acomodo y reestructura de las minas, remocin de
flora, y materia natural (rocas, tierra, etc.) de los patios y
estructuras de las haciendas, para potenciar el desarrollo
turstico de la ciudad. Los voluntarios darn mantenimiento
a la pista ciclista ms grande de Mxico, la cual se
recorrer para reconocer los puntos de mejora.
LUGAR: Se encuentra a 60 km de San Miguel de Allende y a 280 km de la Cd. de Mxico
ALOJAMIENTO: En el Centro Agroecolgico de Mineral de Pozos ubicado en el corazn
de la zona minera en tiendas de campaa..

4. Una vez hecho el registro de campamento/s de servicio voluntario y haber efectuado el

donativo de inscripcin a AMVIAC, este no ser reembolsable.

5. Ten en cuenta que no son vacaciones, es un campamento de servicio voluntario en donde

podrs conocer gente de otros lugares y as mismo realizar actividades de tiempo libre y efectuar
actividades de tipo social, educativo, de medio ambiente o ecolgico. Las actividades a realizar
dependen de cada proyecto.

6. El voluntario es responsable de s mismo y de sus actos. AMVIAC no se hace responsable de los

actos de los voluntarios y las consecuencias de los mismos, durante su viaje, proyecto de servicio
voluntario y estancia en Mxico o en el extranjero.

7. AMVIAC no es responsable si el voluntario no llama por telfono, escribe un correo electrnico

avisando a su familia de que est bien o en tal lugar. Esa es responsabilidad del propio voluntario.

8. AMVIAC no es responsable de la cancelacin de campamentos de servicio voluntario cuando se

presenten fenmenos naturales como: huracanes, sismos, maremotos, tornados; o cuando se

presente una guerra, invasin o una emergencia nacional en el lugar en que se encuentre el
voluntario.

9. El voluntario deber obtener un seguro de vida, accidentes y enfermedades, de prdida, etc.
completo antes de salir a su proyecto de voluntariado. Es requisito indispensable.

AMVIAC

AMVIAC (Mexican Association of International Volunteering A.C.) was born on

the December the 5th, 2014 at the initiative of Mexican ex-volunteers and
professionals wishing to participate in the transformation of the country
through the integration of the International Volunteering in projects in
Mexico organized by civil associations, municipalities, communities and
organized groups. This transformation of Mexico materialises as well by
sending Mexican young people to projects abroad with the idea that this
experience can, upon their return to the country, encourage them to engage
more actively in the work of their community.

VISION

The association's vision is the transformation of Mexican society, especially
youth, giving them opportunities to travel and to live unique experiences as
volunteers both in Mexico and abroad participating in projects of general
interest and reverting that experience in their communities, schools , families,
neighbourhoods, organizations and jobs, for the betterment of our country.

ACTIVITIES OF AMVIAC

WEEKEND WORKCAMPS - AMVIAC proposes workcamps for

groups and individuals wishing to participate in specific actions proposed by
organizations, communities and institutions over a weekend.

INTERNATIONAL WORKCAMPS - Organized jointly with civil

associations, municipalities and other institutions, international volunteering
camps are spaces for exchange and encounter between people from different
backgrounds and cultures, gathered to support as volunteer a project of
Community interest in the educational, social, environmental or cultural areas.

MEDIUM AND LONG TERM VOLUNTEERING The

association integrates national and international volunteers in projects with
duration of 1 up to 12 months. During this period, the volunteer is an added
value to the project complementing the work done by the host organization
and it represents a unique experience for both, the volunteer and the host
organization.

CAMPAIGNS AMVIAC participates in the mobility campaign of the

use of bicycle promoted by several organizations. Concretely, the organization
is a promoter of the Ride Safe in your City and Ride for Peace campaigns in
the city of Cuautla.

MEETINGS - In order to maintain regular communication, the association

meets several times a year to evaluate their actions reflect on various issues,
take decisions and spend moments of conviviality.

PRESENTATIONS - Promoting volunteering is done, among other

means, through presentations at various spaces such as schools, universities,
specialized academic institutions, youth groups, offices of Tourism, Youth
Institutes and others.

VOLUNTEERING ABROAD - AMVIAC sends young people from 15

years old on to international volunteer projects in more than 20 countries in all
regions of the world. These projects are organized by associations,
municipalities, local groups in those countries and promoted by our partner
organizations.

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING IN MEXICO:

This programme presents the work that has been prepared by AMVIAC and its partner organisations in
Mexico with the purpose to increase the number of existing projects already proposed by other
Mexican organisations so more people, both Mexican and foreigners, have the opportunity to live this
experience.
Our camps are open to people 18 years old and over, Adults, Seniors and families. People with certain
incapacities are welcomed to participate previous approval of AMVIAC.
The themes of the workcamps reflect the priorities established by the General Assembly of AMVIAC
which are Education, Environment, Cultural Heritage and Cooperation, although some other themes
could be addressed in various projects. In all projects, the camp leaders will address the Sustainable
Development Goals Post2015 in order to make participants aware about them but mainly to raise
awareness of people about the importance of carrying them out in every day life.
The camps are planned to host as many Mexican young people as possible because there is a need for
our youth to join these type of projects as the cost of traveling abroad is, by far, the biggest restriction
they have to participate in international voluntary service projects.
All camps have a participation fee of $3,000 Mexican pesos that can be paid upon arrival or by PayPal
before the camp starts. AMVIAC and its partners in Mexico do not receive funding from the
government or any other institution. The fees requested to volunteers as participation fees are used
essentially to cover for accommodation and food. Sometimes the project host or organizer provides
accommodation but there are always costs related to the stay of volunteers. A part of your fee is to cover
administration costs, preparation and evaluation of the camps.
The regions of intervention are Morelos, Distrito Federal and Guanajuato in Central Mexico and
Chiapas in the Southern part of the country.
AMVIAC has among its members several ex-volunteers and former camp leaders who will support in
the leading of the camps together with local young people who know the context and the projects and
can facilitate the integration and communication with the local communities.
The workcamps last between 12 and 15 days hosting a maximum of 15 volunteers. There will be
camps from June until December some in rural some in urban areas. There is no official language and
we hope all the foreign participants are keen to learn some Spanish.
There are no possibilities for the moment for AMVIAC to provide insurance during the workcamps,
therefore volunteers are expected to bring their own insurance.
Consuming drugs is NOT allowed and will not be tolerated, as the drug situation in our country is quite
delicate regarding this issue. We ask you to prepare well your volunteers and advice them to restrain
from using any type of drugs.

PROJECT: For the 3rd consecutive year is organized

the Fiesta of the Music (Fte de la Musique) evoking
the traditional French celebration, which is organised
each 21st of June in more than 90 countries. Together
with the Office of Tourism, the House of the Culture
and other institutions, the Festival of the Music will be
carried out with the aim of creating spaces where the
local population can enjoy a diversity of musical genre
going from Rock to Trova, passing by the Classical Music as well as international such as
Capoeira and Irish.
WORK: The volunteers will join the team of the Office of Tourism
in the preparation of the festival carrying out different tasks such
as promotion of the feast in schools, social clubs, cultural
institutions and other municipalities. They will support in the
setting up of the stands, musical equipment, giving information to
attendees, giving support to the bands and musical groups amongst
other tasks. After the event, the volunteers will help to uninstall of
the stands and general clean up of the place. The group of
volunteers will have the possibility to set up a group and also play
during the festival.
LOCATION: Cuautla is located 2 hours south of Mexico City.
ACCOMMODATION: In a house adapted to host the volunteers with basic conditions.

PROJECT: The Tsomanotik Solidarity Center (CST)

is an agro-ecological center in Chiapas that works
with the conviction and aim of contributing to the
construction of a more sustainable, just and solidary

Productive projects in favour of sustainability,
Educational projects in and with the local community,
Solidary Projects that encourage local communitys
development.
WORK: The volunteers will participate in the construction of a demonstrative
greenhouse, which will help in the learning of food sovereignty. Volunteers will also learn
the operation of an organic greenhouse and its advantages, design and construction of a
community greenhouse model, the construction of a
demonstration greenhouse for the learning space
CST. Besides volunteers will prepare the ground of
the Greenhouse for planting, conditioned the soil
around it, plant and transplant plants that grow in
the greenhouse. Participants will share group
dynamics and participate in workshops learning
techniques and methodologies that support them
for construction works in the project.

PROJECT: Xochimilco is a declared Zone of

Historical Monuments and World Heritage Site that
is recognized of cultural, heritage and environmental
importance due to the existence of many buildings
dating from the colonial era and also maintains
vestiges of aquifers and lakes pre-Hispanic and
colonial times. Its system of canals and chinampas is
a unique example of agricultural production of its
kind in the world. The Association Trofeo a la Vida
AC, in collaboration with a group of Xochimilco
trajineros (people managing the traditional boats) and national and international
volunteers will carry out some actions to improve different areas of this cultural site.
WORK: The volunteers will support in the different tasks such as tree pruning,
placement and painting of information signs, cleaning some canals and other works. Also
volunteers will conduct interviews of tourists to compile information to improve the
conditions of this place. Volunteers will have the opportunity to discover the intangible
heritage of this iconic cultural site in Mexico as well as traditional ancestral farming
practices.
LOCATION: Xochimilco is located in the south part of Mexico city.

PROJECT: This site is a well-preserved

example of a fortified political, religious and
commercial center of the turbulent times of
650-900 that followed the disintegration of
the great Mesoamerican states such as
Teotihuacan, Monte Alban, Palenque and Tikal.
The project aims to reach out more young
people in local communities, inviting them to
form a group of Heritage Young Guardians and
increase their awareness of the need to
protect their tangible or intangible heritage.
WORK: Volunteers will participate in some renovation work at the site ranging from
paths to some of the walls of the Acropolis and gardening near the pyramids. The
volunteers will join a three-days summer program
held at the archaeological site where children
from surrounding schools follow an educational,
awareness-raising program. Participants will be
also conducting interviews with tourists about
their impressions on the site. They will also made
presentations of World Heritage sites of their
countries and regions in local schools through the
use of non-formal education tools.

PROJECT: Cuautlas Tourism Office wants to improve

the image of the old railway station of Cuautla in which
the Experiential Railway Museum and the Museum of
Independence are located. Being one of the major
tourist attractions of the city, it requires on-going
maintenance.
WORK: The volunteers will paint the faade of the main
building as well as the Municipal Tourism Office and a
one of the outside walls of the station in order to value this cultural heritage of the city
of Cuautla. Besides the volunteers perform improvement tasks in the Experiential Railway
Museum and some green areas as well as in the stations platform. The work will be
complemented with some awareness-raising activities
organized for and with the local population, especially
children and youth: workshops identifying the assets of
the community, site of the heritage of the city,
presentation of the heritage of volunteers countries
and regions students from schools, cultural and
educational institutions. Volunteers will discover the
Convent Route, Route of the haciendas and other tourist
attractions including Agua Hedionda, spa with healing
waters sulphated higher mineral balance in the world.

PROJECT: Former Convent of the Immaculate

Conception is one of the 14 monasteries on the slopes of
Popocatepetl volcano, and is in excellent condition. The
objective of this project is to increase the visibility of
the site with local people and local authorities as well as
raise awareness to protect their heritage.
WORK: The volunteers will do some clean-up and
secondary jobs in the former convent and its garden as
well as in the former hacienda of San Francisco Cuauhtepec, which has had a direct
relationship with former convent. Volunteers will participate in workshops of cartonera
(use of cardboard and other materials lately recycled materials), a local tradition, with
which the World Heritage will be addressed. They will also made presentations on World
Heritage and their countries during the summer
program of the community; awareness-raising
activities with children and young people will focus
on local intangible heritage. Volunteers will have the
opportunity to learn about materials and local
building techniques used in the preparation of
mortar for filling joints in buildings of this type of
construction, as well as how to prepare lime paint
widely used in the time of the sixteenth century to
protect flattened.

PROJECT: Former convent of San Guillermo Abad is one of

14 monasteries in the called Convent Route and is in
excellent condition. This is the first time that the village
of Totolapan will host an international voluntary service
project and what a best occasion that the World Heritage
Volunteers program.
WORK: In order to give more visibility to this World Heritage site
and sensitize the local population to the importance of protecting
their heritage, volunteers will clean and realise secondary tasks in
the former convent and in the chapels of San Miguel de
Nepopualco and The Assumption of Ahuatln under the supervision
of the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Morelos.
They will also made presentations on World Heritage and their
countries during the summer program of the community; awareness
activities with children and young people will focus on local
intangible heritage. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn
about materials and local building techniques used in the

the project. It also serves as a space to complement
formal education of children in subjects such as
Spanish, math and English.
WORK: Volunteers will carry out workshops and art, music, language and literacy
activities aimed at children 6-13 years old and complemented by leisure and recreational
activities. In addition, the volunteers will participate in the implementation of activities
that have as main goal the strengthening self-esteem, teamwork, values such as respect,
community,
tolerance,
justice
and
peace.
The
implementation of the activities by the volunteers will
ensure that within two weeks of camp, the activities
revolve around leisure and recreation, and this will help
to develop the skills of children. A final presentation of
the Works done during the camp will be organised. It is
expected that volunteers can bring ideas, games, songs,
pictures to share and proposed activities (music, crafts,

PROJECT: The Cuautla River is fed by the spring Los SabinosSanta Rosa-San Cristobal, which is a protected natural area and
provides drinking water to 19 colonies of the municipality. To
protect this heritage and promoting ecosystem conservation,
preserving its natural beauty, regulate urban growth and population
pressure exerted on the banks of the river and the area Cuautla
springs, standardize and streamline production activities and
protect the recharge zone of aquifers, various actions involving all sectors of the
population of this city are necessary. The objectives of this international volunteering
workcamp are to help improve the quality of life and environment for the inhabitants of
ANP, promote the development of recreational and tourism activities on the landscape
scenarios because the springs, flora and fauna constitute an attraction for people of
Cuautla and Ayala, and develop integrated sanitation actions in the Cuautla River.
WORK: Volunteers will do some mapping in the area in order to identify the problems of
this Protected Natural Area, they will participate in the production of aromatic plants,
perform cleaning work in the channel and slopes longing the river; will
develop awareness-raising workshops on management and care of
Protected Natural Area; will participate in the design of murals for the
care of Protected Natural Area; will conduct visits to historical and
cultural sites in the region and establish exchange of experiences with
people to generate alternative solutions to environmental problems.

PROJECT: For the eighth consecutive year the World

Heritage Volunteers Program is carried out in Mexico and this
year 4 international camps are organized in the state of
Morelos. The program aims at raising awareness about the
importance to protect the cultural heritage, create link
between the site managers and the local population,
demonstrate the value of the non formal education in this
type of projects and to introduce participants to basic
renovation and restoration techniques.
WORK: The volunteers will clean several areas of the former convent of San Mateo, as
well as some heritage sites linked to the former convent as is the old railway station and
other buildings in the communities of San Miguel and San Juan Tlatetelco, Texcalpa. In
the field of sustainable development volunteers will perform tasks on a cycling path that
is planned to be implemented in this community as a means of preserving the surrounding
environment. Volunteers also make presentations on World
Heritage and their countries at local schools; awarenessraising activities with children and young people will focus on
local intangible heritage. Volunteers will have the opportunity
to learn about materials and local building techniques used in
the preparation of mortar for filling joints in buildings of this
type of construction, as well as the preparation of paint to

PROJECT: The lack of employment and migration has

generated a social change in the younger population of this
region, in which the use of materials for the construction of
their houses, is not longer in compliance either with them nor
with the environment. Invasions, change and land use,
excessive logging, poaching, introduction of exotic species to
the ecosystem, livestock, monocultures, burning garbage,
water pollution, mineral extraction, etc., have led to a deterioration and negative impact
on the Monte Negro Sierra.
WORK: Volunteers will participate in identifying environmental problems in the region,
will be integrated to conservation and restoration productive projects, driven by the
Ministry of Sustainable Development through the Directorate General of Protected
Natural Areas, exchanging experiences with owners and holders
on the management of forest nurseries, apiaries, production of
aromatic plants, fire management strategy, environmental limits
of the protected areas, reforestation, among others. Also,
tours will be conducted to identify environmental misconduct
such as open waste disposal, illegal logging, poaching, changes in
land use involving agrarian groups and different levels of the
government.
LOCATION: This Natural Protected Area is located in four different municipalities
Emiliano Zapata, Tlaltizapn, Yautepec and Jiutepec situated in the state of Morelos.

15 VOLUNTEERS

PROJECT: The objective of this project is to support the people

of this community in the preparation and implementation of the
Community annual festivities which integrate the masquerades
parade, which takes place the last Sunday in September as part of
the celebrations in honor of the Virgen del Rosario. The activities
take place around the village and especially in the former convent
of the Immaculate Conception, one of the 14 monasteries on the
slopes of Popocatepetl volcano Cultural Heritage.
WORK: The volunteers will help in the
preparations for local festivities, painted plaster
of the outer walls of the monastery complex and
cleanliness of the courtyard and garden of the
former convent, as well as the construction and
placement of a mural made out of seeds.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate
in improvement work of the aguardiente (a local
alcohol) museum and of the former hacienda of
Cuautepec. They will also make presentations of
their countries at local schools. Prior to holding
the Mojigangas, volunteers will participate in
various workshops to support some of the troupes to finish up their puppets that will
parade the day of the pilgrimage.
LOCATION: Zacualpan de Amilpas is a beautiful small town 25 minutes away from the
city of Cuautla, Morelos.
ACCOMMODATION: In a local development hosting
center with all basic services.
REQUIREMENTS: Interest in Cultural and Intangible
Heritage and Festival.
PARTICIPATION FEE: $3,000 pesos, includes
accommodation and food and some organisational costs.

PROJECT: Mineral de Pozos is known as a ghost

town, as it was abandoned twice since its
founding but now it has the title of Magic Village
and the community seeks to rescue their old
houses, squares, streets, farms and mines, for
heritage preservation and the promotion of
cultural tourism. Nearby are the remains of ancient mines and haciendas which recall the
richness of the silver and gold veins that existed from the sixteenth to the nineteenth
century. These farms and mines of great historical and heritage value are in a state of
abandonment for many years and it is now necessary to do cleaning work, renovation and
adaptation of spaces, so they can be enjoyed by the community and its visitors.
WORK: The volunteers will help in the clean-up, renovation and upgrading of areas of the
mines and the haciendas. They will conduct outreach activities with the community and
promote the appreciation and rescue of heritage as a means of sustainable development.
There will be a familiarization with the society of Mineral
de Pozos, for collaboration in the development and
implementation of techniques for exploration, cleaning,
accommodation and restructuring of mines, removal of
flora, and natural materials (rocks, soil, etc.) of courtyards
and structures of farms, to promote tourism development
in the city. Volunteers will do some maintenance work in a
cycle track, the largest in Mexico, which they will go over
to recognize areas for improvement.
LOCATION: Mineral de Pozos is located 60 km from San Miguel de Allende and 280 km
from Mexico City, about 3 and half hours.
ACCOMMODATION: In an Agro ecological Centre located in the heart of the mining
area.
REQUIREMENTS: Interest in the themes
Sustainable Development and Cultural Heritage.
PARTICIPATION FEE: $3,000 pesos, includes
basic accommodation and food.

PROJECT: The Tlaxcala Cultural Project generates a

space for children and young people to enable them to
recognition themselves and his environment through
culture and art, with the participation of parents and
adults in the cultural education of children and youth in
the various activities organized and promoted by the
project. It also serves as a space to complement formal
education of children in subjects such as Spanish, math
and English. Workshops and art, music, language and literacy activities are aimed at
children 6-13 years old and are complemented by leisure and recreational activities. In
addition, strengthening self-esteem, teamwork, values such as respect, community,
tolerance, justice and peace are addressed during the activities.
WORK: Volunteers will participate and carry out activities in order to contribute to the
rescuing and conservation of Mexican traditions such as the traditional posadas, so the
camp will culminate in an big celebration in collaboration with the neighbourhood. During
the two weeks the volunteers will participate in workshops on this subject. It is expected
that volunteers can bring ideas, games, songs, pictures to share and proposed activities
(music, crafts, languages, drawing, painting, etc
LOCATION: San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas
ACCOMMODATION: In a house conditioned for the volunteers.
REQUIREMENTS: Interest in the Non-Formal Education, work with children, Arts and
Cultural intangible Heritage.
PARTICIPATION FEE: $3,000 pesos, includes accommodation and food and some
organisational costs.

enough to participate in one of the international workcamps
offered by AMVIAC! Other workcamps will be added later on
in the year.
