^^ Please note that both the positions are identified as suitable for Differently Abled Candidates (PwD/PH) too. The
physical requirements identified for both the positions are S (sitting), ST (standing), RW (reading & writing), SE

Detail of qualifications, experience, age limit and other terms and conditions:
1.

Hindi Officer
(a) Essential Qualification and Experience:
(i) Masters degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or
as the medium of examination at the degree level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or
as the medium of examination at the degree level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi
medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English
medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and
English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the
other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level;

(ii) Post qualification experience of three years of using / applying terminology (terminological work) in
Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferably of technical and scientific
literature under Central/State Governments/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Organizations/PSUs/
Universities or recognized research or educational institutions.
OR
Post qualification experience of three years of teaching in Hindi and English or research in Hindi or
English under Central/State Governments/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Organizations/PSUs/
Universities or recognized research or educational institutions.

(b) Desirable:

(i) Studied one of the languages other than Hindi included in the 8 schedule of the Constitution at

10 level from a recognized Board.
(ii) Knowledge of Hindi typing.

(c) Age Limit:

For PwD/PH candidates 45 years.

Hindi Translator
(a) Essential Qualification and Experience:
(i) Masters degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or
as the medium of examination at the degree level;

Masters degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or
as the medium of examination at the degree level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi
medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English
medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level;
OR
Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and
English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the
other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level;

(ii) Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two
years post qualification experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central
or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
(b) Desirable:
Knowledge of Hindi typing.
(c) Age Limit:
30 years as on July 08, 2015.
For PwD/PH candidates - 40 years.
For all others as per applicable Central Government rules.

Notes on relaxation in upper age limit:


(a) The reserved category applicants, who apply against posts meant for unreserved category, are not entitled
to get age relaxation. However, the applicants belonging to PH category are entitled to get age relaxation as
admissible to them for the posts meant for unreserved category, if such posts are identified suitable for the
PH category.
(b) All the reservations and concessions in accordance with the orders/notifications issued by the Central
Government, as applicable, would apply.

General Information and other terms and conditions:


1. All positions will remain open until filled. After the due date, applications received will be reviewed once a month
against the positions that remain unfilled.
2. Candidates are advised to visit this section of our website regularly for all the updates/information in this regard.
3. The Institute reserves the right not to fill up any / all position(s) / select any candidate without assigning any
reason thereof.
4. The scales are indicative. IIM Indore would be happy to consider an appropriate salary (which may be higher or
lower than the scale mentioned against the post) for the deserving candidate.
5. Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualifications and experience will not confer any right to the candidates for being
called for interview or/and for his/her selection. For counting the post qualification experience, the final marks sheet
of the minimum qualification mentioned, should have been obtained before the start of counting of the experience.
The last date till which the experience would be counted is July 08, 2015.
6. The Institute will communicate only with short-listed candidates.
7. No correspondence will be entertained during the process.
8. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
9. The Institute requires the selected candidates to join immediately.
10. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
11. The candidates are required to apply online for which appropriate link will be provided. Applications will not be
accepted in any other manner.
12. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
13. Last date for submission of duly filled in application through online link is July 08, 2015.
14. Based on the number and quality of applications received, the Institute may decide to hold a written
examination or personal interviews or both or any other test(s) deemed appropriate. The same may be announced
in this section of our webpage soon after the last date of submission of online application.
15. No person: (a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or
(b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible for
appointment to service
Provided that the Institute may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the Personal Law applicable
to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any
person from the operation of the rule.

16. Candidates who wish to apply for both the positions are advised to submit a separate application for each.
Candidates who belong to SC/ST/PwD category and women are exempted from paying any application fee.
Others would be required to submit an application fee as per the detail given in the paragraph number 18,
separately for each of the positions, if applying for both the positions.
17. In-service candidates, who wish to apply, are required to inform their department heads before applying. An
NOC from Head of the department would be required to be submitted by the candidates in case they are
shortlisted.
18. Candidates (other than those mentioned in para 16 who are exempted) are required to remit non-refundable
application fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) for the position of Hindi Officer and Rs.500/- (Rupees Five
hundred only) for the position of Hindi Translator. Application fee is required to be submitted in the form of account
payee Demand Draft (DD) in favour of INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT INDORE payable at INDORE.
Candidates should mention their particulars (Name, address and position applied for) on the reverse of the DD and
post/courier the same to Personnel Officer IIM Indore, Prabandh Shikhar, Rau - Pithampur Road, Indore-453556
(M.P), so as to reach at IIM Indore by July 16, 2015. Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any
circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee. IIM
Indore will not be responsible for any postal/courier delays/ misplacements.
