I Thessalonians 1:2 We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers.

I Thessalonians 1:5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy
Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
I Thessalonians 2:6-7 We were not looking for praise from people, not from you or anyone else, even though
as apostles of Christ we could have asserted our authority. 7 Instead, we were like young children among you.
I Thessalonians 2:12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into
his kingdom and glory.
I Thessalonians 3:13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of
our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.
I Thessalonians 4:3 It is Gods will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.
I Thessalonians 4:11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business
and work with your hands, just as we told you.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in
death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and
rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to
the Lords word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly
not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud
command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise
first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 5:2-6 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While
people are saying, Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant
woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should
surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night
or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
I Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord
Jesus Christ.
I Thessalonians 5:17-19 Pray continually. give thanks in all circumstances; for this is Gods will for you in
Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit.

Galatians 1:6-9 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace
of Christ and are turning to a different gospel which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are
throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from
heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under Gods curse!
Galatians 2:16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we,
too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law,
because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Galatians 3:7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.

Galatians 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen
away from grace.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 6:1-2 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore
that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each others burdens, and in this
way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to
please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will
reap eternal life.
Galatians 2:19b-20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in
me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Living in Christ by faith
Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of

Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing
that counts is faith working through love. Faith working through love
Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an
opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become slaves to one another. Freedom to become slaves
through love.
Galatians 5:16 Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 5:22-23a The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control.

Galatians 6:10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for
those of the family of faith.

Philippians 1:6 I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to
completion by the day of Jesus Christ.
God will complete the work he has begun in us.
Philippians 2:2 Be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Christians
must not let divisions prevent them from bearing witness and working effectively in the world
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than
yourselves.
Take advantage of the unlimited opportunities in the workplace to treat others as wiser or
smarter or better than yourself
Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.
We should
meet the needs of the community around us instead of our own. If others do the same, then our needs will be
met, although there is no guarantee that they will do so.

Philippians 4:12-13, 18 I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all
circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in
need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. I have been paid in full and have more than
enough; I am fully satisfied.
The way to be freed from idolatry of the rewards we seek from work
(money, power, status, etc.) is to be motivated by the benefit our work has for others and to be content with
whatever rewards may come

Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion
until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to
suffer for him.
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above
yourselves.
Philippians 2:5-8 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being
in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he
made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in
appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every
name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every
tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 3:9-10 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but
that which is through faith in Christthe righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to
know Christyes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him
in his death.
Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I
do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever
is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirableif anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such
things.
Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the
circumstances.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
