A RESPONSE TO BOARD OF
EDUCATION MEMBER NOAH
MARGOS LETTER TO THE EDITOR
LAST WEEK:
The Beverly Hills United School District
spends about $14,000 per student. The
Manhattan Beach School District spends
about $7000 per student, yet their district has a higher rating than Beverly
Hills. Apparently ocean breezes have a
positive effect on student learning abilities.
Mr. Margo, you stated your position in issue
#818 of the Weekly and I have stated mine
in issue #817. Enough said. Let the voters
decide in the November election who is right.

Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa attended Shabbat dinner at 30 Years After President Sam Yebris home Friday
night. Villaraigosa even led them in the HaMotzi blessing, but tahdig (a traditional Persian burnt rice) was unfortunately
not in his diet.
