I hear the patter of many little feet this week as we enjoy

Vacation Bible School. The week is just beginning as I write this

article and I know God is going to do some awesome things as the
week progresses. I am praying for a movement of God among the
children and the workers.
A significant number of our youth are working in VBS. We
are so blessed to have these dedicated young people to assist. Hats
off to each of the youth workers, you are doing a great job! It is
rewarding to see all ages involved in the activities this week. Some
Senior Saints, some medium adults and young adults, and some
youth working together to spread the Gospel right here at home.
Thank you to all.
I am looking forward to our Patriotic Presentation on July 1.
This special celebration will be held in our sanctuary beginning at
7PM that night. We want this to be a community event. It has and
will be advertised, but the best advertisement is word of mouth.
Share with your friends this grand opportunity.
Bring a friend to Sunday School and worship this Sunday.
It is Fathers Day and we will not have evening services, but will
have a great time in the Lord Sunday Morning. I hope to see you
then.
Paul

THANK YOU
Our sincerest appreciation most of all to my church family for your
prayers for my grandson, Jason Harrell, these past 14 months. Your
calls, cards, food and other acts of compassion helped us through the
difficult days following his death on June 7. Again, our sincere thanks.

VBS
A special word of thanks to Allison Barber and her
mom, Kaye Hall for leading the VBS music classes
this week. Godly music is a window to the soul and
your music touched the lives of all of the children in
VBS this year!

SAINTS ALIVE
Thanks for a great morning of service and ministry as
you shared at Willow Ridge and 2 concerts at Memorial Manor last Monday. Caregivers as well as staff
members enjoy your enthusiasm and your music as
you lift up the Lord. You bring joy to the hearts of the
residents as well as the staff in each location where
you share. We are blessed to be a blessing.

PATRIOTIC MUSICAL AT FBC

Our Chancel Choir and Saints Alive Choir are joining
forces with the choir from Morningside Baptist
Church to share the patriotic musical AMERICA, of
Thee I Sing!. Mark the date of Wednesday, July 1 as
the time when this rousing, flag-waving music will be
presented in our Sanctuary. Invite friends and
neighbors to join us at 7:00 p.m. that evening!

THANK YOU FOR VBS!

I can't say "THANK YOU" enough to everyone who prayed,
decorated, lead a rotation, assisted in rotations, worked as a crew
leader, helped in the kitchen, worked security or with the tech team. . .
the list is endless as is the help. So many of you donated money and
time and I could not even begin to name you all. YOU made VBS so
much fun this year!!
Our highest number of kids for one night (as of Tuesday evening) is
91, but we have 107 children on roll. And we don't know how the
Holy Spirit will continue to work in all those lives! It is just so
exciting! Thank you so much to everyone who played a part- no
matter how big or small. I am so grateful to be a part of a church that
loves children so much!

VBS Follow Up Team

If you would like to help the Evangelism Explosion group follow up
and contact our prospects from VBS, please contact me or Brother
Paul. We hope to visit each family that is not a member or regularly
attend another congregation in our community.

MERGE 2015
Merge mission camp 2015 will kickoff Monday evening
at First Baptist Church, Millington, TN. We have a great
group of students attending camp who will spend the
week worshipping and serving. Merge offers a unique
camp experience with the opportunity to serve on
mission projects during the day. Our students will be
serving by doing landscaping and painting projects
throughout the city.
Each evening we will be led in a worship service by
Union Avenue and camp pastor Stuart Hensley. This
will a great week for our students to hear from and be
challenged by Gods Word and to also be the hands and
feet of Christ as they are on mission. Please be praying
for our week at camp. Pray for the logistics and travel,
but more importantly that this will be a week where
students and adults lives are changed by King Jesus.
Our weekly 640 service will be on location during the
month of July. We will meet each Wednesday
throughout the month at different homes to hang out
together and worship. Below is the schedule of homes
for the month.
July 1st Brian and Julie Cottles
July 8th Glenn and Lee Ann Heard
July 15th Rick and Karen Ragan
July 22ndTBA
July 29 Ricky and Stephanie Moore
