"Proposed Concept Paper For a Series of Lecture in
Munting Mapino Elementary School"

Title: "Wastong edukasyong pangkalusugan, sakit maiiwasan " (health forum)

Objectives:
1. To enhance the knowledge of students of Munting Mapino Elementary School about
Infection Prevention
2. To increase the awareness of students about the importance of proper hygiene and
nutrition.

Rationale: This activity will help to further enhance the knowledge of the students of Munting
Mapino Elementary School about health. This will also help to make the students aware of the
health hazards in their environment and of the things that they could do to eliminate or avoid it.
Lastly, this activity will serve as an eye opener for the students of Munting Mapino Elementary

School to start aiming for optimum health development starting within theirselves, their families
and eventually to the whole community.

tarpaulin

food utensils

Mechanics:
1. There will be a committee assigned for accomodation, utilizing the food, designing the
area/stage, managing the audio and last the committee assigned for the discussion inside the
forum.
2. Foods will be served during the forum.
3. A pamphlet will be distributed to each student that will attend the forum containing the
summary of the discussed topics.
4. The topics that will be discussed are:

Proper hygiene

Dental care

Environmental sanitation

Nutrition and food

Result of the activity:

All the material were prepared ahead of time in the Munting Mapino Elementary School. The
registration for the Grade 4, 5 and 6 started at 8:30 am to 9: 10. The activity started with a brief
prayer and an opening remark from Sir Antonio. Before the presentation starts, a game was done.
The winner of the game was the four students who best performed the proper handwashing
correctly and accurately. The first lecture was about microbes and the second one is about proper
hygiene followed by dental care and last is food and nutrition. Foods(biscuits and juice) were
served during the discussion of food and nutrition. After the discussion, the students were asked
about their inquiries and questions. The lecturers were able to answer all the question of the
students. The activity ended with a closing remark from one of the teachers in the Munting
Mapinio Elementary School.
