Our graduates have gone further to join the Academia, having completed further studies from premier
Universities such as the Harvard Law School and Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Students have

and also as officers of the elite JAG Branch of the Indian Armed Forces.

promotion of legal education. Chhattisgarh is already one of the fastest growing States in the country,
with State of the Art Infrastructure, and is the first State to promote education at such a rapid pace.
Raipur has the distinction of being the only Indian city to have an AIIMS, IIIT, NLU, NIT and an IIM. The
Union budget in 2014 saw the sanctioning of funds for opening IIT Chhattisgarh as well.

The State has always been a driving force behind the University. An example of its support is the
Moot Court Fund established by the government of Chhattisgarh which has pledged a very
generous amount towards funding the students of HNLU who participate in National or
International Moot Court Competitions.
The same fund has now been extended to allow students to attend International Conferences,
for such participation. This initiative is unique to HNLU and the State of Chhattisgarh and not only
does this promote equality but is a show of unparalleled commitment and solidarity with the
University.
The University has been a participant in the development of the legal backbone of the State.
Several of our Faculty work on Legislative projects for the Government, while the University
periodically holds Legal Awareness Camps in and around Raipur.
