Here are some statements about what the movie is about, but they are all

One night, Marty gets away from the zoo, with the help of three amusing penguins.

On the foreign island, they try very hard to figure out how to survive in the wild.

Instead of the zoo, Marty wants to be free in the wild to get a taste of freedom.

While they finally find Marty in Grand Central Station, they are all caught and put on a
ship to Africa by humans who think the animals should be freed from the stress of New
York life.

Instead of missing the good old days, they gradually enjoy their time on the interesting
island and make friends with the animals on the island.

Except Marty, Alex, Melman and Gloria are all happy with the pampered lifestyle.

Yet, an accident on the ship makes them land ashore on an island, called Madagascar.

In the middle of the night, Alex, Melman and Gloria find out Martys missing and plans
the mission of taking Marty home.
