wasnamedtheWesternHockeyLeague(WHL)'sPlayeroftheYearin1996.Hewasselected11th
overallbytheDallasStarsinthe1995NHLEntryDraft,butwastradedtoCalgarypriortomakinghis
NHLdebut.HeledtheNHLingoalsandpointsin200102,andwontheLesterB.PearsonAwardas
itsmostvaluableplayerasvotedbytheplayers.In200304,Iginlaledtheleagueingoalsforthe
secondtimeandcaptainedtheFlamestotheStanleyCupFinals,leadingtheleagueinplayoffscoring.
AsixtimeNHLAllStar,heistheFlames'alltimeleaderingoals,points,andgamesplayed,andis
secondinassiststoAlMacInnis.Iginlascored50goalsinaseasonontwooccasionsandisoneof
