Advantages

Several factors will affect density, strength

development and reaction time of the polymerised
product. These include ambient temperatures,
pumping rate and distance, discharge capacity and
pressure at the filling point.

Quick reaction, ideal for void filling and

sealing

Typical properties at 25C of the polymerised

product as follows:

Quick application, ideal

situation, up to 20m3/hour

Application temperature (25oC)

for

emergency

Outstanding expansion capacity, low material

requirement for void filling

0 - 35

Initiation time at 20oC (secs)

20

Yields to ground pressure, accommodates

subsequent ground movement

M1 fire classification, can be used in areas

presenting heat risks, as well as fighting fires
in mines

Expansion Ratio

Easily transportable to site

Remote pumping, can be pumped from a safe

location

Fire classification to
Class 1
BS476 (Part 6) (does not propagate fire)

Seal off water bearing strata and water

inflows

Standards Compliance

German LOBA NRW approval Registration No:

New South Wales Department of Mineral

Resources Risk Assessment September 1995

Polymerised product complies to BS476 (Part

6) Class 1: does not propagate fire

Description
A two component injection system consisting of
Wilkit Foam Resin and Wilkit Foam Catalyst which
are metered in a 1:1 volume ratio via a pump unit
and mixing gun into the void.
The two
components mix in the gun, which initiates the
reaction of the product.
The mixed product
expands up to 30 times void and/or sealing off the
area.

Reaction time at 20 C (secs)

80
up to 30

Amount of material required per m3 43.2 kg

These figures are given as a guide and may vary

with site application conditions.

Site Preparation
It is highly recommended that a consultant from
Minova Australia advise mine personnel on
formwork construction.

Limitations
Material must be applied within the temperature
range 0oC to 35oC.
Application must fall within the guidelines of the
Coal Mines Regulation Act in particular with
respect to ventilation.
Queensland - Mine Managers Rules apply.
