SIXTH FORM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

2014 - 2015
Admission to Sixth Form will be based on both academic and non-academic criteria.
Students will be assessed in the following areas:
NON ACADEMIC CRITERIA

Leadership qualities

Attendance to school and classes

Punctuality to school and classes

Involvement in extracurricular activities

Fulfilling community service obligations

Conduct/deportment (the number of truancies/ deliberate absences from classes ,

demerits, order marks, suspensions, etc) will be taken into consideration

Compliance with the guidelines set by school/teachers with regard to the SBA

ACADEMIC CRITERIA
To be considered for admission to Grade 12, applicants must pass at least 6 subjects
at the CSEC General Proficiency Level or GCE Ordinary Level Examinations or a
combination of the two. At the CSEC Level, students must obtain at least 4 subjects
with grade 1 and at the GCE, OLevel, students must obtain at least 4, As.
NOTE: Students MUST achieve a grade 1 or 2 in the subjects that they wish to
pursue in 12th Grade as well as a grade 1 or 2 in English Language and
Mathematics.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS

1. The completed form along with an application fee of $1,500 (non-refundable)
is to be submitted to the Necessities (Book Shop) at Ardenne High School.
The final date for submission of application forms is Friday August 8, 2014.
Please note that no application form will be accepted without the
application fee being paid.
2. Students files will be reviewed for the non-academic aspect of the entry
requirement.
3. Academic assessment will be done once the CSEC results are published.
4. An early acceptance list of those students who have fulfilled all the
matriculation requirements and whose applications have been approved will
be posted on the Notice Board by the Administrative Building.
5. A list of those students to be interviewed will be posted on the Notice Board
by the Administrative Building. (Students are interviewed for a number of
reasons these include- assistance with subject selection and career
guidance.)
6. Following the interviews, a list of those students who have been selected for
Grade 12 will then be posted on the Notice Board by the Administrative
Building.

FEES
The fees for Grade 12 for 2014 2015 will be as follows:

School Fees - $45,000

PTA Dues

Computer Lab Fees - $5,000 (Applicable to students of Computer Science

- $5,000

only)

Science Lab Fees $2,500 (Flat rate for first Science Subject) and $1,000
per additional science subject thereafter (Applicable to students of
Science only)

These fees MUST be paid before the student will be allowed to

attend classes.
NOTE: THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT INCLUDED
IN THE ABOVE.
