PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE
To obtain the position of English as a Second Language Instructor.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
TEACHING
• Proficient and award winning English as a Second Language Instructor with experience utilizing the
Communicative Method in corporate, group, and individual student settings.
• Create an engaging and customized skill building course curriculum for multi-student and individual
student classes. Establish program and individual goals and milestones to encourage continual learning
and educational growth.
• Evaluate the student’s literacy, language comprehension and fluency to develop and ensure proper
program level and pace.
• Present corporate, group, and individual English as a Second Language programs to students ranging in
age from pre-school to adult, customizing course content and degree of difficulty to address specific
needs. Employ instructional strategies and multimedia course materials to motivate students. Promote
rapid language learning in practical, real-life business and social scenarios with conversational focus.
• Skillfully integrate internet resources in curriculum to augment training materials with current events
and items of interest to individualize the program for the student and expand the student’s interest.
• Assess student progress. Adjust curriculum based on student development.
• Experience working with multi-cultural clients; heightened sensitivity to cultural differences and
preferences to ensure ease and comfort during learning process and every interaction.
SUPERVISORY/ADMINISTRATIVE
• Oversee day-to-day administration of business unit and manage operations in absence of Director.
• Actively promote programs and services; interview prospective clients.
• Produce, and present reports such as: Sales, Program Effectiveness, and Customer Satisfaction.
• Recruit, orient, train, and mentor new ESL Instructors to build a high quality, top performing, motivated,
team-oriented, customer focused staff that consistently achieves organizational, individual, and client
goals, while reliably ensuring an exceptional learning and cultural experience through talented
instructors, superior customer service and proven interpersonal skills.
• Arrange general training sessions for all instructors focused on new teaching techniques and/or training
materials.
• Observe, evaluate, provide feedback to, and mentor ESL Instructors to ensure proper administration of
programs and student satisfaction.
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Proficient and confident communicating in
a clear, concise, and professional manner across all organizational levels as well as with external
customers.
• Proven Customer Service Skills working with a multi-cultural customer population.
• Equally effective working independently as well as in a team effort.

• Solid computer skills. Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office; easily learn and adapt to new software and
industry specific applications.
