He shouldnt have killed Luke Slater

Justice must be served, Luke was the one who took his son away from
him, and he has every right to avenge his sons life. An eye for an eye, a
tooth for tooth, this is the only way to have complete justice.
It is not fair that he will not see his son any more, it is not fair that he
had to die and Luke got to live. At the end Luke is in prison, he is punished for
his crime by taking his freedom, but he does not regret, he does not care
about the fact that he killed a human being. Jimmys family will suffer for the
rest of their lives because of Luke. But Luke will not receive the right
punishment, he will have a place to sleep and three meals a day doing
nothing.
Luke is a psychopathic, bloodthirsty person that has no conscience, he
is dangerous for the society. All his life he As long as he lives there is still a
chance that again he might take another innocent life.
Laws are created specifically to protect the people and to bring justice
in the society. The law clearly says that murder has no justification and the
person who has committed murder should be sent to prison. The individual
has no right to take a humans life, and nobody is above the law. So if he
killed Luke, he would been sent to jail. His wife and children would be left
alone to care for themselves, they would lose him too and it would not bring
Jimmy back, but it would only bring more suffering to him and his family.
After all the best decision was to get in his head, not to kill him but to
make him suffer for the rest of his life. As we saw Luke changed after the
father of his victim spoke to him, he was a completely other person, he
started to regret what he did, he finally understood what an awful thing he
had done when he said to Mr. Garrison that he was sorry. After that Mr.
Garrison realized that he could make him really pay for his crime, to make
him feel guilty for the rest of his life, and not to let his to have peace. This
confrontation could also help Luke to become a better person, after he
realized that he was a bad person and that he made mistakes. A chance was
given to him to become a better person, a chance to redeem for his sins.
It is a fact that children who live in problematic families, if they are
exposed to violence and are abused, develop a problematic behavior. Luke
was raised in such family, the circumstances led to his problematic behavior,
he was not born as a savage killer. All the bad things have left a mark on him,
he was the victim of external circumstances that seized his life. If he had
grown up in a nice family he would not have done those bad things.
