Broad idea about the domain and its prospectus

"Per capita consumption of electrical energy is a being considered as a
measure of country's growth."
The Indian and global energy sector is expanding at a great pace, with a
demand of quality power, efficient usage, sophisticated and expected to
be green as well. There are large no. of opportunities to grab and
challenges to be solved. The core Electrical Engineer undergoes the
learning experience of three major domains viz. Electrical Power
Systems, Electronics - Power and Digital, and Electrical machines conventional and advanced. The learner also understands electrical
networks and measurements, control systems and instrumentation, logic
development, microprocessors and controllers etc. The outcome of the
acquired knowledge can be translated in the development of projects /
manufacturing, planning - execution - operation - testing and
maintenance, analysis and design of equipments - process - systems and
offering solutions to the issues by creating new designs.

LTd. and national companies like BHEL, PGCIL, NTPC, NHPC, NPC,
ONGC, Indian Railways, Power corporations, Electricity companies
(erstwhile SEBs and now GENCOs, TransCos and DisCOMs), L & T,
Bajaj Electricals Ltd., Adani Power Ltd., Reliance Power Ltd., EMCO
Transformers, Jaypee group, Essar Ltd., Jayshree Insulators, Hitachi
Hi - REL, Veeral Controls Pvt. Ltd., AMTECH Electronics Ltd., Secure
