GENERAL
Data sheet is composed of two parts, data sheet form and sketch form.
Among these sketch sheet may be excluded, if the structure and size
can be described in data sheet. If you need more space for "Remark",
you can attach new line paper (blank format) between data sheet and
sketch.

SHEET NO. AND REVISION NO.

Indicate a sheet number and a revision number.

PROJECT INFORMATION
In case of customer, full name should be specified, if possible. The
name of place and country should be specified at location. At service,
indicate the correspondent system or process. Req'n no will be filled-up
by mechanical team
3.1

Supplier
This item may be filled-up after supply vendor is selected.

3.2

No. Req'd
This indicates the required number of equipment or unit. If standby item is required, it should be specified separately.

OPERATING CONDITIONS
Operating data should be filled-up at this item.
4.1

Material Handled

for Vibrating Conveyor

DATE : 2006. 8. 23

This indicates the name of material handled. When several kinds

of material are fed by conveyor, it should be analyzed and
specified as %wt or %vol. If you don't have enough space, you
may use the space of "Remark" at sheet bottom.
4.2

Density (Bulk / Real)

For material transfer, usually bulk density is required, not real
density. So bulk density is specified at this item.
In case of mixed material transfer, average bulk density is be
used, if possible. If you can't get the average, min. and max.
Bulk density should be specified together.
ex) 1200 - 1800 KG/M3

4.3

Particle Size
For particle size, mm is used normally, but Tayler Mesh or
(micron) are used occasionally.
When the particle size is not homogeneous, the distribution
should be specified as %wt or %vol. at this time, the space of
"Remark" is also available.

4.4

Moisture Content
When transfer material is exposed to atmosphere, it contains
moisture. This moisture content is specified as weight% at this
item.
The specified value is normally max. Value and described like
"1%wt below"

4.5

Feed Temperature
This indicates the material temperature at conveyor inlet point.

Angle of Repose
This indicates the angle of repose for materials and is usually
used for a hopper volume design. According to the kind of
equipment, this may be utilized necessary data or reference
data.
This data is not certainly necessary but reference data. This data
is meaningful to check trough size in dump type.

4.7

Operating Type
It should be specified whether continuous operation or
intermittent operation, and auto. Start/stop or manual start/stop.
If special operation method is required, it may be specified using
the space of "Remark". Regardless the type of start/stop (auto.
or manual), it should be checked whether local start/stop push
button box supply or not at accessories item. In the early stage
of project, the supply of scope for this should be determined for
all equipment.
In case of automatic, local push button box contains remote
switch. For intermittent operation, the space of "Remark" may be
available as following example when on-off operation is done
frequently.
Ex) on-off cycle time; 3min. or 3 times/min.

4.8

Operating Time
This, so-called operating cycle. Means how long equipment is
operated for a day and is related with the owner's shift schedule.
ex) For Two Shifts
: 16 Hr/Day
For Three Shifts
: 24 Hr/Day

4.9

Capacity

DESIGN MANUAL

for Vibrating Conveyor

DATE : 2006. 8. 23

This indicates the transfer rate and is composed of normal and

design capacity. Among these normal capacity should be
specified. Design capacity is utilized as the equipment design
capacity and rated capacity for motor power calculation.
So, design capacity is normally specified the 110% of normal
capacity except specific design capacity or margin is required by
owner.
4.10

Method of Loading
This indicates the material feeding method to conveyor, and also
indicates the feed type whether continuous, dump or batch. For
screw conveyor, continuous method is usually applied because
conveyor is directly connected to bin or hopper feed.

4.11

Unloading to
This indicates the destination of transferred material. The kind of
equipment in next process and the connection method are
specified together.
ex) : Unloading to storage hopper by chute

4.12

Material Properties
This indicates chemical or physical properties. If some property
is strong, it is desirable to specify "high" or "severe" at blank.
When a material has several kinds of properties simultaneously,
all corresponding properties are should be specified. If there are
unspecified properties, they are specified at "other" item.

4.13

Installation
This indicates whether an installation place is indoor, outdoor or
under roof.

CONSTRUCTIONS
This indicates a equipment structure and specification. Almost all are
specified by vendor, except some items related with process
5.1

Type
This indicates format of vibrating conveyor. It is composed of
positive action and natural frequency type. In here, you don't
have to classify like that.
(1)

Balanced Type
Because this type almost absorb reaction during
vibration, it is possible to installed on structure.
(Over 90% of vibration absorbed)
Capacity Usage Range
: 5 - 140 TON/HR
Size
Width
: 150 - 1500 MM
Length
: 3000 - 25000 MM
Frequency
: 450 - 600 VPM
(Refer to SHINKO catalog)

(2)

Unbalanced Type
This type is selected for positive action method. It is
installed on foundation and used to isolator.
Capacity Usage Range
: 9 - 120 TON/HR
Size
Width
: 150 - 1050 MM
Length
: 3000 - 20000 MM
Frequency
: 450 - 580 VPM

If it is impossible to support on floor, this type can be

installed to ceiling or structure.
(4)

Floor Mounting Type

This type is installed on bottom.

(5)

Motor Type
Vibration is occurred by eccentric shaft. It is mainly
applied in floor mounting type.

(6)

Vibrator Type
It is possible to apply for all of type, because this can
adhere to conveyor body directly.

5.2

Trough Type
This is really loading site. There are following types.
(1)

Close Type
This indicates installed cover in trough. If there are a lot
of dusts or it is required in process, this is applied.

(2)

Open Type
There is no cover in trough.

(3)

Lining
This is applied, when trough is required for lining.

Jacket Type
This is made of jacket format in trough.
If you have to manufacture trough with jacket, it should
be fixed to purpose.
At that time, utility supply condition should be used to
"Remark"
If there is no BEDD, design pressure & temperature of
jacket is specified with utility supply condition.

(5)

Square and Rounded

This indicates shape of trough and square type is mainly
used.

5.3

Trough Seal Type

MATERIALS
Material is determined by a property of handled material or purpose
generally. This indicates the material of a part connected with handled
material.
The materials of belt, pulley and casing are specified at least. If then,
other materials are determined by vendor. When determining a material,
we have to refer material properties. Especially, when you specify trough
