FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

FINDINGS
On the basis of the analysis of the data gathered, the following findings were arrived at:
Personal Profile
A. Age most of the respondents ranged in age from bracket 15 to 22, though a majority of
the student were 16 years old.
B. Gender showed that there are 36 female respondents and there are only 14 male
respondents.
Questions
A. Nature of the subject study showed that 28 out of 50 students are find it hard to study
chemistry, 42 respondents say yes that they are still interested with it, 43 students also
agreed that the subject is quiet enjoyable and 38 respondents exclaimed that they are not
feeling sleepy during chemistry hours.
B. Teachers effectiveness 100% responded that their teachers are effective enough in
teaching chemistry, 1 out of 50 students exclaimed that his/her teacher didnt explained
everything before conducting a laboratory activity, 42 respondents agreed that the time
frame is appropriate for the subject and 48 students response yes, their teachers provide
appropriate instructional materials to supplement the lesson.
C. Environmental factors - results of the survey showed that 40 students say yes, they
have enough equipments in the laboratory room, 47 respondents agreed that their room is
conducive for learning, 21 out of 50 say no, they do not conducted a peer study during

their vacant time and 44 students exclaimed that no, they do not ask assistance from
their parents when doing their assignments.
CONCLUSION
Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn:
1. The attitude of the learners toward the subject chemistry exerts potent and positive
influence on students achievement in the subject.
2. The findings also reveals that a more competent and effective teachers are needed to
facilitate the learning process.

3. A further look at the results of this study also shows that a well-equipped
laboratory can positively change teachersattitude to chemistry teaching,
which will in turn enhance students learningoutcomes in chemistry

RECOMMENDATION
In the light of findings of the study, the following recommendations were offered for
consideration:
1. To develop a positive attitude toward the subject chemistry, learners should actively
engage to the learning process.
2. Professors should develop their instructional materials as an aid in improving the quality
of learning in chemistry. Different teaching techniques could also employed by the
teacher to discover the best strategy that is suitable to the learner.
3. Teachers should pursue their post graduate education for educational growth.
4. Proper coordination with the parents is also needed because we all know that the role of
parents is very vital in developing good habit among their children.
5. Involvement in a group/peer study will also be a help in developing the interest and
understanding of the learner toward the subject.

6. Administrator of the college should prioritize the laboratory equipments needed in

chemistry activities and experiments.
