From 0 to 0.2 m material is sandy, gravely silt of light brownish in colour.

Gravels are of igneous and metamorphic origin. From 0.2 to the bottom
of the pit, the material is boulders and gravels alongwith sandy clayey silt.
Boulders are of greyish dominantly as well as brownish in colour. They
are approximately 60 to 70% of total volume of the material in this
section. Boulders are rounded to sub rounded and are of igneous and
metamorphic origin. Boulders are randomly distributed throughout in this
section in all the walls.

Silty sand/sandy silt, little brownish but dominantly greyish in colour is

observed from top to 0.35 m. Sand is mostly medium grained and dry.
From 0.35 m to 1.43 m, gravels and sub-rounded to rounded, boulders
alongwith silty sand/sandy silt has been observed. Boulders and gravels
are of igneous and metamorphic origin, having different sizes and
colours. The overall conditions of the pit walls are dry. Biggest boulders
observed is of size 0.65x0.45 m approximately.

1.0

Boulders with sandy gravels. Boulders are more than 50% along all the
walls of testpit. At left wall a big boulder is present greater than 0.6X1m.
Sand is fine to medium grained with coarse concretion. Gravels grain
size are medium to coarse grained. Over all colour of material is
brownish, light greyish. Highly weathered boulders are dominant at base.
Walls of the testpits were collapsed due to loose sandy material. and
boulders are randomly distributed along all the walls.
